Our recently renovated open plan home is bright and modern, situated in Amherst’s historic district, close to Amherst College. It is a 5 minute walk to cafes, bars, a fantastic art house movie theater, new live music venue, and a range of eclectic shops and restaurants in downtown Amherst.
Our home sits on one of the most unique properties in town, just steps away from downtown and the colleges, yet overlooking a beloved community vegetable and flower farm—a backdrop with memorable views, stunning sunsets, and everyday connection to nature and the foothills.
The house has 3 bedrooms (plus one office that doubles as a bedroom), 2.5 bathrooms, a rec room with piano and movie projector, an exercise room with a ping pong table, an open plan for dining and living, with floor to ceiling windows that bring the outside in. An extension of our chef’s kitchen is a screen porch—a serene spot for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or an evening cocktail.
The main level is adorned with mid-century modern furniture, pantry, chef’s kitchen with modern appliances and extensive cookware. Home also includes a screen porch, mudroom, outside deck with propane grill. The main bedroom is sun-filled with en-suite full bath and rain shower.
The gardens are magnificent in the summer months. There is a working fireplace inside, a level 2 electric car charger in the driveway, an outside fire pit, an outdoor sauna that accommodates 6, and beautiful garden seating for warm summer nights.
We love our neighborhood, too. It’s a mix of historic and modern homes, with a lovely multi-generational community of friendly neighbors and families.
