Thanks to its unspoiled natural surroundings and tranquility, Wiek is not only a magical place for hikers and cyclists, but also a paradise for water sports enthusiasts and anglers. Numerous surfing and kitesurfing courses are offered here for both beginners and experienced participants. In Norse mythology, Saga is the goddess of the waters and the lover of Odin, the father of the gods. According to the myth, the goddess Saga—whose silver palace is surrounded by surging waters—receives a visit from Odin in the evening, and they bathe together in the waves.
