Property:
The southern part of the island of Rügen warmly welcomes you! Lauterbach is a neighborhood of Putbus, and both are steeped in history and tradition.
You don’t necessarily need a car here. The old princely town of Putbus offers numerous attractions, such as the palace park with its historic buildings. Here, fallow deer and red deer call a huge enclosure home. Also worth visiting is the theater, which hosts a variety of events. A special highlight is the Putbus Theater Summer, featuring daily performances. So if you’re a culture lover, you’ll find plenty to enjoy in Putbus. The Lauterbach Harbor is a popular destination for vacationers. Here you can get freshly caught Baltic Sea fish, delicious fish sandwiches, and some restaurants offer local cuisine. You can also enjoy a delicious breakfast right across from the Haus Hafenkieker.
Passenger boats depart from the harbor, allowing you to explore the island of Rügen from the water. Another traffic-free alternative for exploring the island is the “Rasende Roland.” From here, you can ride through the Baltic Sea resorts of Binz, Sellin, and Baabe all the way to Göhren, admiring the diverse landscape or exploring the resorts along the way. From Binz, you can transfer to the Jagdschlossexpress and ride up to the Jagdschloss in Granitz. The Jagdschloss is located on Tempelberg and, with its exhibitions, is another popular destination. A cantilevered spiral staircase with 154 steps leads you to the observation deck. From here, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Granitz and the island of Rügen. On a crystal-clear day, you can even see as far as Usedom. The next stop on the trip is Sellin. When the weather is good, a visit to the famous pier is a must. The 400-meter-long, developed pier is the town’s landmark and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. If the weather is bad, we recommend visiting the Ahoi! water park with its inviting sauna area.
Lauterbach offers pure rest and relaxation for everyone! We wish you an unforgettable vacation on the diverse island of Rügen.
