The space
Once a cornerstone of the Millersburg Military Institute, McIntyre Hall has been reimagined into an intimate retreat that blends rich history with refined comfort. Tall sash windows, original hardwood floors, and antique artwork set the tone for a stay that feels both sophisticated and deeply personal.

Upstairs, eight individually designed king suites evoke the charm of a boutique hotel. Each room offers a balance of historic character and modern luxury, inviting rest and quiet reflection.
Each suite includes:

- Private ensuite bathroom with spacious walk-in shower
- Beekman bath amenities and fluffy cotton towels
- Smart TV and Wi-Fi

Windows overlook the heritage campus and tree-lined lawns, allowing soft light to fill each space throughout the day.

Shared spaces:
The shared living room is the heart of the hall, layered with coral velvet sofas, patterned wingback chairs, and soft blue walls that create a sense of calm and warmth. It is a space for conversation, reading, or enjoying a quiet moment by lamplight.

Beyond the sitting room, the bright dining area and kitchenette blend functionality and style. Crisp white cabinetry, marble-style counters, and brass lantern pendants frame the space. Guests can heat meals, brew morning coffee, or share an evening bourbon at the island or dining table.

Every element of the design-from the textures to the lighting-has been chosen to reflect both Kentucky's heritage and the ease of modern living.

Guest access
Guests have access to their private suite, the shared kitchenette, dining room, lounge, patio, and the surrounding Mustard Seed Hill grounds. The estate's walkways connect McIntyre Hall to beautifully restored brick buildings, shaded lawns, and peaceful sitting areas.

Private tours of the historic Allen House, a celebrated example of Greek Revival architecture, can be arranged upon request. Guests are welcome to enjoy the South Lawn and Terrace for morning walks or quiet evening reflection.

Guests will receive a welcome email 24-48 hours before arrival with their room assignment, door code, and Wi-Fi details. Parking is complimentary and on-site. There is no traditional check-in desk; guests can arrive at their convenience and go directly to their suite using the provided code.

Other things to note
General:
All eight suites are located on the upper level of McIntyre Hall. Please note that there is no elevator or lift access in the building, and guests will need to use the staircase to reach their rooms.

Each suite is equipped with a smart temperature system designed for comfort and energy efficiency. The system automatically adjusts based on occupancy to ensure the space stays comfortable without running constantly. Guests do not have direct control of the thermostat, but the temperature can be adjusted upon request - simply reach out to us at any time and we'll be happy to assist.

Christmas at Mustard Seed Hill:
Each December, the estate transforms into one of Kentucky's most beloved holiday attractions. Guests staying during the Christmas season receive complimentary admission to the festivities, which include dazzling light displays, artisan markets, live music, and the renowned Gingerbread Competition, along with cozy campfires, carriage rides, Holiday Tea and Supper Club evenings, and the Holiday Tent Cafe with local food trucks. The air fills with the scent of pine and gingerbread as fire pits glow across the grounds, creating a warm and welcoming place to gather. The campus becomes a storybook setting of creativity and wonder.
