Into The Woods - Basse Terre Retreat
Unwind in this beautifully crafted 2,700 sq ft chalet-style log home made entirely of northern white cedar and nestled in the hills of Pennsylvania. Showcasing striking architecture, soaring wood-beam ceilings, and expansive windows with picturesque views, this serene lake retreat is surrounded by wildlife, including eagles and whitetail deer. Sleeps 8–10 guests in comfort and style.
The space
The home offers an open-concept layout across three spacious levels, providing plenty of room for guests to relax and gather. The main living area features soaring vaulted ceilings and dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the space with natural light. During the winter months, the home is beautifully decorated for the holidays, making it ideal for festive family gatherings or a peaceful seasonal escape. On cooler evenings, settle in by the fireplace, or step outside to relax on the expansive wraparound deck with scenic views of Bimini Lake.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and everything needed to prepare meals with ease. Enjoy dining together at the custom-made table or grab a casual bite at the breakfast bar. All kitchen appliances and laundry facilities are brand new.
Just past the half bath, the main-level primary bedroom features a private en-suite bathroom with a soaking tub and shower combination. Upstairs, a spacious loft overlooks the living area and includes a double-size bed. Two additional bedrooms with queen-size beds are located across from a full bathroom. The lower level offers another full bath along with a large gathering space perfect for movie nights, games, or relaxing together.
Each bedroom includes a Smart TV for streaming your favorite shows and movies. For larger groups, additional sleeping options are available, including a sofa and a king-size double-height air mattress, with plenty of sheets, blankets, and bedding provided.
Guest access
Excellent location for week-long family vacations with lots of local and nearby attractions, excursions and restaurants. We are a 5 minute drive from downtown DuBois where you can find grocery stores, restaurants and stores for your basic shopping needs.
The gravel driveway can park up to 5 cars. Enjoy contact free check in with our key-code enabled entry device. Driveway is steep may require AWD during winter weather conditions.
Beach lake and outdoor community pool access are available for an additional fee of $25 per person. Please let the host know at the time of booking if you’d like to use these amenities. Access is offered seasonally from May through August. Guests can use the pool Monday-Thursday (excluding holidays). Maximum 8 passes provided.
Guest passes must be carried with you to enter these areas. At checkout, please leave all passes on the kitchen island. This is very important—missing passes will result in a $150 replacement fee per pass.

Please note that in the event of maintenance or service issues resulting in the hot tub being temporarily unavailable, cancellations or refunds will not be offered.
Dogs are welcome with prior approval and a pet fee of $150 per dog, paid in advance. A maximum of two dogs is allowed per stay, and all dogs must remain leashed while outdoors.
