LUXURIOUS ONE-BEDROOM GEM NEAR CONNEAUT LAKE
Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior of this lovely gem at Avanti Cove, near Conneaut Lake. Everyone knows that a gem looks not much different than a rock until you open it up and look inside. This is an amazing apartment that you will want to look inside of--and you will be amazed when you do! This is not the neutrally-colored sterility of a hotel room, nor the banality of an apartment that has been quickly thrown together with all of the stereotypical vacation rental items, colors, and textures.
This breath-stopping gem is anything BUT typical! As you step inside, you are immediately struck with a sense of the luxurious. The sheer number of details that you first take in communicate clearly that this was not a throw-together vacation rental. This is a project that the decorator was absolutely passionate about. Every detail was carefully weighed and considered to understand how it would fit with the feel of the WHOLE apartment. There were no afterthoughts in this apartment; rather, the decorator lived in the consciousness of each future guest while considering the placement of each item thoughtfully. "How would I want this to be if I were staying here?" is a question that was at the forefront of the decorator's mind throughout the project.
The beautiful arrangment of the furniture in this apartment make it feel so much more expansive than the 837 square feet it occupies. The open concept of the living, dining and kitchen areas, the nine-foot high ceilings, and the substantially-sized bedroom all lend to the palatial, stately feel of this getaway.
Come into the oversized bedroom, dropping your suitcases and your cares in the huge walk-in closet. Then try out the bed, which, contains a super-soft and comfortable Nectar mattress on a queen-size bed that any KING would be happy to sleep on! Sink into this luxurious bed, and the world outside starts to grow distant. The unique overhead fixture has a remote control, allowing you multiple different lighting options that can quickly soothe away stress. Then, when you're ready for sleep, use the remote to turn off the fixture completely. No getting up out of bed to turn off the lights!
For work-away-from-home guests, there is a wonderful little desk in the corner of this bedroom--perfect for privacy, peace, and concentration. The desk is roomy enough to accomodate a laptop and other work related items. Connect to the free onsite wifi (accessed with a password we give you) for reliable connection to the internet as you work. The peaceful atmosphere of this apartment makes it easy to concentrate on work.
When work is done, snuggle onto the bed again to share a movie-going experience with the ones you love, using the large television located in front of and viewable from your bed. Later you can put away your clothing and personal items in the ample dresser spaces located in the bedroom, then go out to prepare a meal in the fully stocked kitchen.
This is not a kitchenette, with a few token cooking utensils. This is FULLY stocked kitchen, prepped for any type of meal preparation. Whether you just want to throw together a quick snack or a fully prepared, multi-course meal, this is the vacation rental to do it in! There is a full-size french door refridgerator, with an ice maker in the freezer. There is a full-size four-burner stove and oven. There is a giant microwave oven above the stove. All appliances are stainless steel. There are pots, pans, and cooking utensils--and even a garbage disposal!!
There is additional meal prep space on the island in the kitchen, and a bench to eat from the island. Or, you may choose to take your meals at the beautiully crafted wooden dining table, which can seat 6 people. Between the livingroom, dining and kitchen areas, there are multiple lights for setting the perfect mood to enjoy your meals.
One of the favorite features of this kitchen is all of the interesting items situated on the floating shelves about the sink, with a beautiful backdrop of a penny tile mosaic. It is as if the decorator spent time contemplating what would make meal prep time more fun and interesting, then put it all in place!
Later you can spend time relaxing in the cozy livingroom, with plenty of space. Enjoy time with your family around the large-screen television, and try out the whimsical version of the Connect 4 game, on the cocktail ottoman. If you enjoy reading, there are books scattered around the apartment detailing some of the local history of this area. Whether you are reading a good book, enjoying family time, or just wanting to cozy up and cuddle, there is plenty of comfortable seating here to do so! The one sofa even converts to a queen-size bed, in case you need extra sleeping space.
Walk into the nearby bathroom and you encounter yet more elegance, with the ruffled shower curtain, the continuation of the beautiful penny round tile mosaic, and the modern aesthetics of the clear glass vessel sink with the waterfall faucet. You will find it an adorably cute and classy place to do your business! If your day has been particularly difficult, then sink into the comfort and soothing warmth of a bubble bath soak. We have installed the tub for just such enjoyment!
For recreation, Conneaut Lake is just 1 mile down the road from us, and Pymatuning Lake is only a short drive further. Fireman's Beach is a great place to take the kids for swimming and enjoyment of the playground equipment. The lakes offer opportunities for water sports, and fishing. There are even some events still being held at the old Conneaut Lake Amusement Park, including the annual "Ghost Lake" event, centered around Hotel Conneaut.
Enjoy the feel of small-town living as you visit Conneaut Lake itself. Enjoy a meal at Silver Shores Restaurant, which has seating looking directly out over the lake. Visit The Ice House Pizzeria and Grill for some of the best pizza, calzones, and lasagna. This is not your average pizzeria and grill, since it also houses a wonderful bakery where they sell delicious baked goods, as well as a bulk-food candy store. And even more! This is a museum detailing the history of Lake Conneaut's once massive ice production facility. While you are waiting on your food, you can get a whole history lesson from the old photographs on the wall, as well as actual implements, once used in the harvesting of the ice, scattered around the shop. If the owner is there, he may even give you a walking tour!
There are some other places to eat as well, including Rising River Brewery, and SoCal's Tacos. The taco place gets five-star ratings on Google reviews, and well-deserved! They are definitely southern California style!
For a great many more options, the city of Meadville is only a hop, skip and drive away from your rental. There you will find tons of small shops, places to eat, and regularly scheduled events throughout the year, such as the Thurston Classic hot air balloon event, St. Patrick's Parade, the Autumn Wine, Brew & Spirits Walk, the Meadville Bluegrass Festival, the Halloween parade, and the "Merry Meadville" event, held every Christmas. If classic, unusual, or "souped-up" vehicles and motorcycles is your intererest, there is also the annual "Cruising For A Cause," and the annual "Thunder In The City." Also, come along in the winter and have an unforgettable experience of fun at Meadville's own snow tubing resort, AvalancheXpress.
Another great attraction to this area is French Creek, a large, scenic waterway that begins in Lowsville, NY, flowing about 117 miles through Erie, Mercer, Crawford, and Venango counties. Near Meadville, the creek is wide and slow-moving, so great for boating and paddling. Anglers fish for bass, trout and many other species, while the many nearby trails, riverside paths, and abundant wildlife are great for biking, running, wildlife watching, and enjoyment of the countryside.
A short 30-45 minute drive north will place you in Erie, PA, where there are unending things to do--museums, parks, recreation areas, and fun attractions, including Waldameer & Water World.
