El Abuelo, Santa Cruz de la Palma, Spanien

Casa El Abuelo is located at just 250 meters above sea level in Velhoco, on the eastern side of the island.
Velhoco is a picturesque neighborhood and is part of Santa Cruz de la Palma. The house features a beautiful, partially covered terrace overlooking the Barranco de Juan Mayor, an attractive landscape for hiking that offers views stretching from the mountains to the sea.

The house is ideal for hiking enthusiasts and those who enjoy strolling through the beautiful historic center of the capital, Santa Cruz. A hiking trail to Santa Cruz starts right at the house. You can reach Santa Cruz on foot in 20 minutes.



El Abuelo:

During the restoration of Casa El Abuelo, care was taken to preserve the original structure. Inside the house, you’ll also find several original items that have been preserved, such as the headboard of the single bed, the nightstands, a beautiful wooden chest, and an old sewing machine that has been repurposed as a table.

The walls are adorned with various hand-embroidered pictures. Overall, the house stands out for its original style and its unique location right on the hillside.

A partially covered terrace with a table, bench, and two chairs offers a fantastic view of the green Barranco de Juan Mayor all the way to the sea. A small space for two lounge chairs is perfect for undisturbed sunbathing. Behind the house is a small garden with a grill.

All rooms are equipped with electric radiators, and the construction of the exterior walls ensures a pleasant climate even in winter.

The living room is spacious and bright and serves as the heart of the home. The covered terrace is accessible from the kitchen, which is well-equipped and also features a dining table that seats up to 4 people.

The bathroom with shower and toilet is modernly furnished. Right next to it is the smaller bedroom with a single bed. The bedroom with a double bed was recently fitted with new mattresses and is located on the other side of the living room.
