Area: Perched above the beautiful village of Joucas, in the heart of the Luberon, this 170 m² vacation home offers you peace and comfort. Numerous hiking trails and wonderful cycling routes start right from the house. Hikers, in particular, can explore the beautiful Gorges de Véroncles (15 km long, featuring 16th-century mills), while cyclists can discover Mont Ventoux, “the Giant of Provence,” at an altitude of nearly 2,000 m. All the villages of the Luberon are very easy to reach, and whether you prefer sports or culture, you’ll be delighted.
Garden and grounds
You’ll enjoy your Provençal meals at the wrought-iron table on the south-facing terrace. The pool (7m x 4m, depth 0.9 m to 1.8 m) lies below the terrace. You can park your vehicles in front of the house.
The Property
You enter the vacation home through a small courtyard planted with an olive tree, also known as the “tree of peace.”
Ground Floor
From there, you enter the living and dining room (TV, hi-fi). The dining room, with its open kitchen, leads out onto a shady and romantic south-facing terrace. The stone fireplace, classic red clay tiles, and dark wooden beams create a very cozy and rustic atmosphere. The comfortably furnished living room is equipped with a piano for music lovers. To the left of the front door are three bedrooms. The first (single bed) opens onto the garden; the second (two single beds that can be pushed together) has two windows and stays pleasantly cool on hot summer nights. A small windowless shower room and a separate toilet are located in the hallway. The third bedroom (double bed, shower room, and toilet) opens onto a small terrace with a magnificent panoramic view of the valley toward the Luberon. To the right of the entrance, a small hallway leads to the fourth bedroom (double bed). All rooms are beautifully decorated and equipped with ample closet space. Due to its bathroom layout, the house is better suited for a family than for two couples.

Well-behaved pets are welcome here.
Good to Know
During the cooler months, the house is heated by central heating or electric radiators. A washing machine is available. This house is an authentic “maison de campagne” with all the charm and character you’d expect. The furnishings are simple; the furniture, doors, and details are dated—some show signs of wear that are part of the house’s history. Those expecting modern comforts or cutting-edge design may not find what they’re looking for here.
However, for guests who appreciate the rustic style, nostalgic charm, and authentic character, the house offers a special atmosphere. The quiet, nature-filled location and the property’s authentic charm quickly make you forget any minor imperfections.
