This holiday apartment, along with two others, is on a vineyard above the little wine-growing village of Cascastel. The village is ideally located right at the heart of the Corbières region, in the Pays Cathare.
The 80m² comfortable apartment is in an annex, was renovated in 2013 and can accommodate four to six people. It has two bedrooms with double beds, of which each has its own bathroom. The toilets are separate. The double beds can also be used as single beds. The living room has a sofa bed for two further people and a dining space, a TV, a stereo system and a DVD player. The kitchen is fully-equipped.
The apartment has a small, enclosed garden with a lawn area. It provides a grill, garden furniture and deckchairs and you can also cool off on hot summer days in the private outdoor whirlpool with space for four people. The garden offers a wonderful view of the vineyard. Two parking spaces are provided.
It is possible to enjoy free wine tasting on the vineyard. You can also book a payable “introduction to wine tasting”, with a tour of the vineyards and the wine cellars with a commentated tasting of the seven wines produced at the vineyard. You can ask about prices on arrival.
It is a two-minute walk to the nearest restaurant. Gourmets will not mind driving twelve kilometres to a restaurant awarded three Michelin stars. Of course there are also many other restaurants nearby of all categories. There is a grocery shop two kilometres from the house, or a supermarket a six-kilometre drive away. It is just 25km to the Mediterranean Sea.
