This place was ideal for our hunting trip. Plenty of space, clean, comfortable, and set up well for early mornings and long days in the field. The location was excellent—close to where we were hunting but still quiet and relaxing at the end of the day.We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone coming in for a hunting trip.

Peaceful relaxing stay

We were visiting family and needed a spot close by for sleeping this filled the bill being between parents home and brothers. Our dogs had room to roam in the evenings before heading out to see family.

Perfect Farmhouse

Our overall stay was fantastic. Traveling to visit our best friends with our teenagers and dog. My favorite features of the home was the outdoor setting. No neighbors to look at and plenty of space for our dog to run. The icing on top was that there was a goodie basket for the humans and a big basket of essentials for our dog.

Hunting Trip

House was perfect for our stay. Great location, secluded so didn’t have to worry but the dogs in their kennels disturbing others. House was very neat and functioned great for our needs.Looking forward to staying again.

Cozy Farmhouse

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we'll return. However, the front door has a significant problem with the lock(s). We were unable to lock the door when away, or during the night. I mentioned this to Debbie and she said that she would take care of it. Again, really enjoy the quiet cozy Farmhouse. It's a re-do for us if the front door locks will get fixed.

quiet retreat

We were looking for a quiet weekend away from work and the noise of the city. Our stay at the farmhouse was exactly that. Would suggest to any one and everyone if you want a quiet and restful weekend visit the farmhouse.

Quiet and private

Me and my wife enjoyed our stay at this cute little farm house. We really loved that we were 10 min. away from town but far enough away that it was peaceful and private getaway. The dogs enjoyed running around the big yard and playing. Would like to stay here again in the future.

Short Stay

Just a quick staying for fishing n the area. House was small and clean. It was located at the end of a dead hens street. This provided a quiet stay, perfect for my needs. Communication was great with owners. Debbie answered any questions I had and provided good directions for check in and check out. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Wonderful experience!

The Farmhouse is a lovely and well-kept home in the country with beautiful decor and nice amenities. This home is updated spacious, has beautiful views and provides great opportunities to unwind and leave city life behind while still being very accommodating. The property manager was a pleasure to work with. We look forward to coming back and staying here again and we highly recommend this place! Truly amazing!

Wonderful, peaceful, quiet home

This home was warm, relaxing, peaceful and quit. Very clean when we arrived, typical of small farm houses. from years past. Reminded me of My Grandmothers home. Thanks for a wonderful experience. Loved hearing up to 13 different birds sing each morning

Wedding Weekend Getaway

We planned a weekend getaway for our Wedding that we had at Cedar Tree Barn. When we decided to book the Farm House we did it to have a place to stay without the rest of the guests in the wedding being around. Well, it came in very handy to have all of our bridesmaids be able to get their hair and makeup done, as it was less than 5 miles from the venue. This quaint little farmhouse out did our expectations. It is super peaceful, the property itself is clean and cozy, communication with the owner was flawless, and everyone seemed to enjoy getting ready at one place, as it had all of the amenities we needed. I would recommend this home to anyone who is looking to stay the night after getting married or even booking the weekend like we did so we were such a short distance away. It beats staying in the hotel, that is if you enjoy peace and quiet. ❤️ If we are ever in the area, we definitely will look to this little farm house for a place to lay our heads.

If You Want Country Simple and Perfect..This Is It!

1st...Debbie, the owner is a breeze to work with. She answers inquiries and messages within the hr and is friendly and pleasant to converse with. NSCA had a shoot going on so 2 friends and I stayed at this location for 4 days and 3 nights. It was perfect. Stepping into the little house was like opening the door to the feel of "home". Hardwood floors gleamed, and the soft antique green kitchen has all the modern appliances but yet takes you back to days gone by. Antique furniture adorn the bedrooms and the beds are sooooooooo comfortable. The same mixture of old and new continue in the bathroom. I won't spoil the surprise in that room...but lets just say its pretty cool!!!😊 Although the utility room off the kitchen sports a hotwater heater..shelves, washer and dryer..its cozied up with a regular sized sofa that makes out into a bed. And 2 summer comfy chairs on each side of a small round table. This room has doors on both sides that lead out to the large patio with a table and an assortment of charirs...or to the front of the house. The best part of this house to me is #1, location. Its ike being 50 miles away from anyone, but only a few miles from town if you need anything. You'll have deer walking through the yard early mornings to the many kinds of birds that gossip and serenade their songs to you. We even heard a couple bull frogs croaking their opinions of the situation. #2 favorite is that each room is surrounded by windows that open to let the fresh air in. Perfect for waking up to the country outside. The only small drawback to this house is this. Because of the age of the house..it has smaller shorter doorways than a standard modern house. The kitchen has a sloped ceiling which might not be conducive to someone 6'4" or taller to be able to stand up straight at the kitchen sink side. We will stay here, if available.. each year that Claythorn has a State or Regional Sporting Clay shoot. I loved It!!!!!
