Rustic 3 bedroom charmer in the West Tremont woods

Rustic and charming 3 bedroom, single bath charmer. Screened in porch, 2 decks, and an acre plus of peace. Wooded quiet area near to the ocean. Wake up to hear the birdsong and the far off growl of lobster boats heading out for the day. Very close to Acadia park, Pretty Marsh, Bass Harbor Light, Seawall, and much more! Just a short drive to Southwest Harbor, and not far from Bar Harbor, or the main entrances to Acadia Park. Come stay with us on the Quiet side and understand why we love it so!
This house is new to the weekly rental business, and it is our own home so we take very good care of it. The house has many new renovations, fresh paint throughout the house, and its very private. The yard is fenced with 5 foot tall screen fencing, so your small dog can play and hang out with you safely, and so the deer and bears can't access the bird feeders and flower gardens. The caretaker lives on property in a separate dwelling, and they are easily accessible.

The Ledge is great value for money and all in our party (a total of seven, ages 24 to 84) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is everything the owner describes and she herself is very friendly and responsive. Though not close to Bar Harbor, we didn't feel any undue hardship working our way across the island. Its proximity to other attractions more than made up for the drive across the island. Perhaps the best "review" of the property would be that 100% of our party would recommend it to others, and none would hesitate to use it again. Thank you, Liz! We really enjoyed our stay!

The property was perfect for our family of four visiting Acadia National Park. Close proximity to everything on MDI. Being able to access the quiet side trails and destinations so quickly like seawall, wonderland, long pond, shops harbor, bass harbor light was fantastic. We really enjoyed southwest harbor and bar harbor was not far. The host was wonderful and very responsive. The home had everything we needed for the week, including a fully stocked kitchen, gas grill, and washing machine. The air conditioning worked well when needed. The property felt private. We were sad to leave at the end of a great week.

House was super clean and check in was a breeze! A perfect place to stay if you want to experience all Maine has to offer without all the traffic of Acadia and Bar Harbor (20ish min drive to both). Liz was super responsive and very helpful for anything we needed. Highly recommend!

I am from the MDI area, and have lived here most of my life. I have owned one other home here that I rented out weekly over 10 years ago. This is a new rental, and our home. We are locals, live on the property in a separate dwelling, and hope to show how amazing this spot is to all of our visitors. I love meeting the folks that come here to this sacred and stunning area, they always seem to have a great story to tell. We hope to make their stays here reasonably priced, peaceful, and we strive to help our visitors create timeless memories of their stay on MDI, and of exploring Acadia!

I love the peace and quiet of West Tremont. I grew up in Salbury Cove, near Bar Harbor, but it all has changed in the [ast few years and is crazy busy and way too expensive. West Tremont is like the Maine I grew up in ; it still has that island community and somewhat unspoiled feel. Quiet and relaxing. I love being able to hear the lobster boats growl early mornings and they leave for work, just a short distance away. All my neighbors are locals, work hard, and love the area as much as we do. This whole area resonates with a peace and tranquility that few areas on Mount desert island still have. The peace, beauty ,and serenity available here in West Tremont are precious, timeless, and helps recharge your spirit.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We are in a quiet area, with few neighbors, situated on nearly 1.5 acres. Our property is wooded on all sides, and has one neighborhood road that only accesses the other neighbors, so traffic here is very light. In the morning you can hear the lobster boats leaving for work, and we are all of 1/8 mile from the ocean. We are only a few miles from Long Pond, and echo lake for swimming etc, and there is ocean access within 2 miles. Its paradise, and close to Southwest Harbor, Pretty Marsh, Acadia National Park, and Bar Harbor. Close access to all of the highlights in the area without any of the chaos, and crowds.
