Welcome to Villa-Nisa-1895 Country House, lovingly hosted by the Hu family.

Our host Jackie is an architect, photographer, and documentary filmmaker living in Germany. After studying Bauhaus architecture in Germany, he developed a lifelong passion for European historic buildings, especially the elegant styles of Jugendstil and Art Déco.

For many years, Jackie has been involved in the preservation, renovation, and design of historic buildings over 100 years old. His appreciation for architecture, craftsmanship, and authentic details is reflected throughout Villa-Nisa-1895, where the character of the original 1895 building has been carefully preserved while providing modern comfort for today’s guests.

Jackie speaks German, English, and Chinese. He enjoys meeting people from different cultures, sharing stories about architecture, local traditions, and the beautiful surroundings of the Karlsruhe and Black Forest region.

For our family, hosting is more than simply offering accommodation. We hope to create a warm and personal experience where guests can slow down, enjoy nature, discover the charm of a historic country house, and create unforgettable memories together.

Villa-Nisa-1895 is located in Kleinsteinbach, a charming village in the Pfinztal valley, surrounded by nature and green landscapes. Just outside the door, guests can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere along the Pfinz stream, beautiful walking and cycling paths, and the relaxing rhythm of village life.

What we love most about this area is the feeling of being close to nature while still being well connected. You can start the day with a quiet walk through the countryside, enjoy the fresh air and greenery, and yet reach Karlsruhe, Pforzheim, or nearby attractions within a short drive.

The region offers many opportunities for hiking, cycling, discovering historic towns, and enjoying local restaurants and culture. It is the perfect place for guests who want to slow down, recharge, and experience the charm of a historic country house while remaining close to modern amenities.

The property dates back to 1895 and has been lovingly restored with great respect for its original character. Historic details, traditional craftsmanship, and the atmosphere of a former country residence have been carefully preserved while adding modern comfort for today’s guests.

A special highlight is the historic barn, which is part of the property and gives guests a unique connection to the past. From May to September, the barn can also offer an additional cozy sleeping area with a double Tatami space, allowing the house to accommodate larger groups.

The spacious private grounds of approximately 2,000 m² create a peaceful retreat with plenty of space to relax, enjoy nature, have a barbecue, or spend quality time together. Features such as the garden area, trampoline, and the developing outdoor sauna concept make the property enjoyable for both adults and children.
