Our beautiful semi-detached home, which is ideal for couples and families with a maximum occupancy of 4 people, is located in the far north of Schleswig-Holstein, nestled in the idyllic natural surroundings of North Frisia. The spacious garden, complete with a swing, slide, sandbox, and more, offers plenty of opportunities for play and running around; even your four-legged friend will feel right at home here!
Spread out over a single floor, the vacation rental offers modern comforts and tasteful, well-thought-out furnishings. The living room invites you to relax with its cozy sofa and armchair sets, and the wood-burning stove makes it nice and cozy even on colder days. Settle into an armchair here and listen to the crackling of the stove… that’s the perfect way to start a relaxing vacation!
Additionally, a flat-screen TV, radio, and free Wi-Fi are available for your entertainment. Delicious meals can be easily prepared in the state-of-the-art kitchen, which is equipped with a variety of modern amenities.
For a good night’s sleep, our guests have two bedrooms at their disposal: one with a double bed and the second with two single beds that can also be joined together.
The daylight-filled bathroom features a walk-in shower.
After an eventful day on the North Sea coast, you can wind down the evening on the terrace with a delicious barbecue on the charcoal grill or catch the last rays of sunshine in a beach chair... Just let your mind wander for a while!
The sauna in the neighboring building is available for free use and is equipped with lounge chairs and a fully automatic coffee machine for a complete wellness experience.
In addition, a shared utility room is available, equipped with a washing machine, dryer, and various ironing supplies. Bicycles you bring along can be stored next door in the barn in a lockable room.
Tip: The “Helene” vacation apartment is located right next door and can accommodate two additional guests; both properties can be rented together. Our “Nanny” vacation home is located in the heart of North Frisia, in the quiet village of Uphusum, surrounded by idyllic green countryside. The nearest larger town, Süderlügum, is only 5 km away and offers not only a beautiful inland dune landscape and an extensive forest area, but also a bakery, supermarkets, and restaurants for your daily needs. In addition to absolute tranquility, the “Northern North Frisia” vacation region offers fresh air and idyllic rural scenery, as well as a variety of options for your leisure activities: Cultural and artistic highlights are featured at the “Emil Nolde Museum” in Neukirchen; the “Natural History Museum,” the “Richard Haizmann Museum,” and the “Frisian Museum” in Niebüll.
On the North Sea coast, approximately 25 km from Uphusum, the ‘Wadden Sea World Heritage Site’ awaits you with a wide range of excursion options, such as guided mudflat hikes or Hallig sea trips including visits to the seal colonies, which can be taken from Dagebüll.
In the summer, you can also take a refreshing dip in the North Sea at the grassy beaches (e.g., at the Rickelsbüller Koog nature reserve, right on the Danish border) or you can visit the heated swimming pools in the surrounding towns (e.g., the water park in Leck or the indoor pool in Niebüll). There’s also a lovely swimming spot by the lake at Hülltofter Tief in Neukirchen. Long hikes along the dike in the fresh sea air, with views of the vast Wadden Sea, as well as birdwatching, can make for unforgettable vacation experiences. Those looking for a sporting challenge can ride the cross-border bike path, the so-called “Grenzroute,” along the German-Danish border: The 130-km route leads along idyllic paths from the North Sea to the Baltic Sea.
