This is a beautiful house and looks like it was remodeled within the last few years. We had a group of 6, including 4 teenagers, and everyone was happy with the layout and amenities. It's a quick jaunt to the beach. The spacious and clean garage had beach chairs, boogie boards, and sand pails, as well as a grill. Straight through the back of the garage is an outside shower. Two things to know if you have young children or old knees: you have to cross a 45 mph busy street to get to the beach, and the house has 2.5 levels of stairs-- ground floor garage, 2nd level entryway, 2.5-level is bedrooms and w/d, 3rd level is kitchen and living room. The whole house felt very clean and welcoming. Beautiful views of the ocean and sound. The only downside during our stay was that the water pressure in the inside showers was super low. We love Emerald Isle and this was a great stay for our beach trip this year.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sandtoesha! The host was fantastic and everything was smooth. What a beautiful home and an incredible luxury to have sightlines to both the Bogue Sound and the Atlantic coast on either side of the house and throughout the top floor. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area. The host left a lot of great suggestions for local flavors and attractions that were useful to us. The provided binder made check-out and property instructions very clear, and the amenities at this property were more than ample for what we required. They even have a grill and beach gear that was available for our use even though we didn't need to. The only perceived drawback while booking was that we had to cross the street to get to the beach, which ended up being no issue at all. The street isn't busy and the it was a very short and enjoyable walk. There is, notably, a bike rack at this beach entrance as well. The neighborhood is bright and colorful and everyone we encountered on our trip was gracious and welcoming. My only regret was not taking more time off to have a few more days in Emerald Isle! 5 out of 5 bananas, would book Sandtoesha again!

Perfect Location

Views of the sound and the ocean made this rental awesome. The inside was very clean and updated. We definitely want to stay here year after year!!

Great location

We really enjoyed our stay. I will start with all the good stuff. The house had just enough space for our family of five. The property is a block and a half off the beach and very close to a public access point so getting to the beach, even with a canopy, is easy. The owners have some beach gear you can use but it is probably best to bring your own to be sure. The front balcony has amazing views of the ocean and you can hear the waves crashing on the shore. The property faces more south than east so the sunrise is not in front of you and the sunset is not directly behind but you still had amazing sunsets over the sound to watch from the back balcony. Now for the not so good. There was some minor issues with some light bulbs that were quickly fixed however the garage door opener did not work which isn't a huge issue but was slightly annoying. There were some bugs in the master bath that I had to squish and deal with but this is the south, they are everywhere. Ants, do not leave food out anywhere, soda cans, chips, anything edible on the 2nd floor. You will have ants in a hurry. Again, this is the south, this is a rule you should follow regardless. I do not think the cleaning crew does a great job, it was overall a clean house, but the mirrors and shower doors had water spots and the showers were sandy. Not ideal for little kids since you have to cross a busy street to get to the beach access point. All this being said, we would for sure stay here again.
