Frequency House: Cozy & Creative Cooper-Young Stay

Welcome to Frequency House - our love letter to the city we can't stop talking about. This eclectic, art-filled home sits in Idlewild, a quiet, tree-lined Midtown neighborhood tucked between Cooper-Young and Overton Square, two of Memphis's most beloved districts — both within walking distance. Everything inside was chosen with intention. The records on the shelf were made by artists born or recorded in Memphis. The art on the walls came from local Memphis artists. The books by the door are about this city's history, music, and culture. We built this place because Memphis is so much more than any single legend — and we want you to leave feeling that too.

The Home
Frequency House is the kind of place that's hard to leave. Mornings start slow — coffee from the well-stocked kitchen, sunlight through the windows, maybe a record on while someone makes waffles. Evenings end on the back deck with yard games and good company, or gathered around the living room for board games and a nightcap. In between, you've got one of America's great music cities right outside the door.
The kitchen is fully equipped for real cooking and entertaining, with GreenPan ceramic cookware, a full bakeware set, a Beast Blender, waffle maker, handheld mixer, and everything you'd need from breakfast through late night snacks. Kids are fully accounted for — dedicated plates, cups, utensils, and a high chair are ready to go, plus games and activities throughout the house for all ages. We're dog-friendly too, with bowls ready for your pup when you arrive.

A Love Letter to Memphis
Every record in our collection was made by an artist born or recorded here — from soul legends like Al Green and Ann Peebles to modern Memphis voices like Soft Knives, Dead Soldiers, and GloRilla. (And yes, there's an Elvis album. Of course there is.) Every piece of art on the walls was made by a local Memphis artist. The books waiting for you by the door are about Memphis history, culture, and the stories that made this place unlike anywhere else on earth.
Memphis is so much more than any single legend. It's a living, layered, still-unfolding story — and Frequency House is our small attempt to honor that. We hope you leave loving it as much as we do.

Sleeping
Frequency House sleeps up to 8 guests comfortably, with flexible arrangements to suit your group. Every bedroom is outfitted with a DreamCloud hybrid mattress and blackout curtains — so whether you're sleeping in or recovering from a late night on Beale Street, you'll actually rest.
King bedroom – A peaceful primary suite ideal for couples or anyone who wants a little extra comfort after a long day of exploring.
Queen bedroom – A cozy private room, great for a couple or a solo traveler who likes to spread out.
Bunk room – Two full-sized beds in a bunk configuration, sleeping up to 4. Roomy enough for adults, and an absolute hit with kids.
Sleeper sofa – A fold-out in the living space, perfect as an extra sleeping spot or a flexible option when your group's needs shift.
There's plenty of room to mix and match — whether you're a family of five, two couples traveling together, or a group of friends dividing up however makes sense.
