“Diemelskipper”—we searched for a long time for an original name for our new vacation home. We warmly welcome our vacation guests to Diemelblick 27. This newly developed vacation region in the heart of the Sauerland offers a wide range of opportunities for sports activities, cultural excursions, and family time.
This vacation home, which has just been newly furnished with great care and high-quality furnishings, leaves nothing to be desired! The house is perfect for a relaxing vacation for up to 4 people (plus a pull-out couch and a toddler bed). From the entrance, you enter the spacious living-kitchen-dining area, which is “openly” divided into two sections by a wood-burning stove and a shelf serving as a “room divider.” From the dining area, you have a magnificent view of the small “marina” on Lake Diemel. The kitchen invites you to cook and linger. In the living room area, you can spend wonderful evenings with your family playing games, reading books, or watching TV. The living area includes a sleeper sofa that extends to 200 x 180 cm. In the basement, you’ll find two bedrooms, both equipped with comfortable box-spring beds. In the “children’s room,” the box-spring bed can be separated into two single beds (each 200 x 100 cm). There is also a fold-out wall desk here, so you can retreat to your “home office” and work in peace. The large bathroom features a shower, a large sink, a bathtub, and a private sauna where you can relax in comfort. Between sauna sessions, you can relax in your own beach chair in the garden. On summer evenings, you can enjoy social gatherings on the terrace with Weber grills.
For our youngest guests, we provide an adjustable high chair, a crib with a changing table, and children’s tableware.
You can park your car right in front of the house. If you bring ski gear or e-bikes, they can be stored in the outbuilding. There are separate, electrically powered ski lockers for ski gear.
Bed linens, towels, bathrobes, and supplies for the wood-burning fireplace can be booked through the property service for an additional fee. Events and family celebrations are not permitted. Smoking is permitted outdoors but not indoors.

Just a few minutes’ drive away, a bit off the beaten path from the tourist hotspots of Willingen and Winterberg, lies the little village of Heringhausen, nestled in the midst of a lush green natural area and right on the beautiful Lake Diemel. Whether you’re seeking peace and quiet, looking for an active vacation, or traveling with the whole family, you’ll experience breathtaking views and unspoiled nature on certified hiking trails and designated mountain bike and cycling routes. For a day trip, crystal-clear streams and romantic villages with historic buildings await your discovery in the immediate vicinity. The Fort Fun Adventure Park in Bestwig, Winterberg, Berleburg Castle, and Willingen—a town known far beyond the state borders for its lively nightlife—are also nearby. For now(!), Heringhausen and the Diemelsee vacation village are still considered absolute hidden gems in the region. However, the local tourist information center has already undergone an extensive renovation and offers its guests—in addition to its super-friendly and helpful staff—an indoor and outdoor swimming pool with an adjacent wellness and sauna area, as well as an interactive exhibition about Lake Diemelsee.
