Room for 6 in this 3-bedroom home. Just a 7-minute walk to the heated community pool. Leave the city behind -- the only agenda here is yours. Salt air drifts through the windows as the Pacific puts on its daily show just beyond the deck. December through April, gray whales migrate along the coast -- binoculars recommended.



The Space:

Welcome to paradise in Northern California! You'll enjoy views and a private hot tub from your vacation rental in Sea Ranch. This large split-level home offers spacious accommodations and amenities. Bring the kids for a family getaway or book the house for a couples' retreat.



Located on the oceanfront bluff on the northern side of Sea Ranch, this home is close to Walk On Beach and the Del Mar Recreation Center. Located at the end of a cul-de-sac, you'll have plenty of privacy and seclusion - and enjoy access to a shared pool. If you'd like to experience golfing at Sea Ranch, you can spend a day at the Sea Ranch Golf Links. This Scottish links-style course offers 6,649 yards of rolling hills with views of the ocean.



Relax in the bright and cheery living room on tastefully coordinated furniture, watching something on the satellite TV. Pop a movie into the DVD player for movie nights with the group, or listen to music on the stereo with FM radio, cassette, and CD players. This room also has a warm gas fireplace and sweeping views through the large windows.

Step inside and settle in -- every room and amenity in this home is yours for your stay. The private hot tub is available around the clock -- no reservation needed. Parking is available in the garage. Detailed check-in instructions, including the door code, will be provided prior to your arrival. As a guest, you also have access to Sea Ranch community amenities including the pools, tennis courts, fitness center, and miles of trails. A recreation pass will be provided.



The Neighborhood:

The Sea Ranch is a one-of-a-kind coastal community on the Sonoma Coast, where miles of trails wind through meadows, forests, and along ocean bluffs. Nearby highlights include community heated pool (North) (7-minute walk), Shell Beach tidepools (6-minute drive), The Sea Ranch Lodge restaurant, lounge and café (6-minute drive). The community features miles of bluff-top and forest trails, tidepools, two heated community pools, a fitness center, tennis courts, and The Sea Ranch Lodge with its restaurant, lounge and café. For provisions, Gualala (10 minutes south) has grocery stores, restaurants, and a gas station. Jenner and Bodega Bay are scenic drives south.



Getting Around:

Sea Ranch is located on the Sonoma Coast, approximately 2.5 hours north of San Francisco via Highway 101 to Highway 1. The closest airport is Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa, about 1.5 hours east. A car is essential for exploring the area. The scenic drive along Highway 1 is part of the experience.



Other Things to Note:

Sea Ranch has three recreation centers with heated pools, saunas, and tennis courts. Access passes are provided with your stay -- check availability upon arrival as these shared amenities can be popular during peak times.



Exterior lighting is minimal by design to preserve the stunning dark sky -- bring a flashlight for evening walks and enjoy some of the best stargazing on the California coast.



December through April is whale season. You may spot gray whales breaching right from the bluff trail nearby. Wildflower season (April-June) transforms the coastal bluffs into a tapestry of color -- worth an extra walk on the trails. Summer offers long days and warm afternoons, though the iconic Sonoma Coast fog often rolls in at sunrise and clears by noon.

Bluffside retreat with great views

Very well maintained property with great views and room to spread out. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and cookware. Interior is more traditional finish (not so much exposed wood) with great natural light and interesting colors and angles.

The house is beautiful and clean, 10 out of 10. The construction on the lot 5 feet away next door isn’t. I’d avoid staying during the week until the construction is complete.

Levi retreat

We received a call on our way to Sea Ranch that the home we'd rented wasn't available because a downed tree has ruptured the water line. Vacasa had 3 alternative homes available for us when we arrived and we had a seamless transition. We selected the Levi Retreat and had a wonderful time in this home with its beautiful view, wonderful hot tub and well stocked amenities. We'll return.

His house has a great view and I have rented it for many, many years. Now the lot nextdoor is being newly developed which reduces the view and privacy dramatically . Our stay was interrupted continually by the sound of loud construction equipment. It was a very unexpected and disruptive surprise.

Lovely home. Especially liked the layout which allowed small groups to each be in their own area. Routine maintenance needed: light bulbs out, missing smoke detector, broken handle on shower door. Broiler in oven didnt' work. When Maintenance called, they came out for oven, but part was not available. Hope this house doesn't fall into dis-repair as so many Sea Ranch rentals have.

Stunning

This was my first visit to Sea Ranch, and I am so happy we chose this home. The location was perfect, the views stunning. We loved being able to step out outside and immediately be on the bluff trail. The comfy couches pointed toward the view were perfect, and the kitchen was well supplied. We had ample extra blankets, and the kids loved their room at the end of the hall. The only negative experience we had was that we realized we hadn't received any parking permits or recreational facility passes on our second day, right before we were going to take the kids over to Del Mar pool. We called the management contact and they weren't sure what had happened and where the passes were; they promised to send someone over with new ones right away, but no one ever came. It ended up okay because the kids surprisingly accepted the consolation prize of a walk to Walk-On Beach followed by a dip in the hot tub, but it would have been fun to take them to the pool.

Amazing Views, Bummer Construction

We are return guests to the Levy retreat. We visited in July 2020. Unfortunately, this time was sub-par. The construction was not noted in the listing during the time of booking. I noticed the negative reviews as we approached but it was too late to cancel. The construction is very very close to the house and it’s a big eye-sore. The deck that we loved sitting on before had a large piece of equipment parked right in front of it. For this reason, we will not be returning. The views in the upstairs living area are beautiful. I could sit for days and stare out of them. The furnishings are very very dated and the home needs some general maintenance done. The hot tub was gross, the carpets desperately need stretching, fireplaces out of order, etc. Our trip was unfortunately timed with a big storm and we were out of power for final 24 hours. I was unable to get in contact with anyone and the house had no candles, flashlights, etc. Additionally, the fireplaces were out of order so we had no way to keep the family warm. We were traveling with 2 children 4 and under. We would have left early but the conditions were so poor. This trip was a Christmas gift for family and unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. We will be finding a new home to rent next time.

Beautiful Home

The views from the residence were stunning. The house is very roomy and quite cozy even though it is very large. We all loved taking walks along the trails and watching the sunset from the beautiful deck.

The location can’t be beat—right on the walking trail along the bluff. Go for the location and the view…the furnishings themselves are very rental-esque (just fine but not inspiring).

We had a wonderful time at the Levy retreat. The kitchen is well appointed. We saw whales swim by from the dining room table. It was a nice walk to Walk-On beach for tide pool exploring. We will definitely be coming back.

Family Getaway Perfection

The Levy Retreat was the ideal location for our four-day Sea Ranch vacation. We traveled with three kids under 4yrs and 3 adults. The home is cozy and the open layout with carpeted stairs is family-friendly. The location and the view are spectacular. We enjoyed Shell Beach, walking on the path, flying kites, visiting the playground, and breakfast in town.

This house was spectacular. Very spacious. Great location on the bluff overlooking the ocean. Enjoyed sitting in the hot tub with a glass of wine watching the sunset. The bluff trail is just outside the back door. We were lucky enough to get to see the sheep mowing the grass in the field next to the house while drinking our morning coffee. There was a fully stocked kitchen with everything you would need to cook. If you forget anything Gualala is only a 5 minute drive away. It was delightful to wake up every morning with a view of the ocean from the comfortable bed in the master bedroom. We will definitely be back!

Great location and beautiful view

This property has a gorgeous ocean view and is close to the recreational facility as well as beautiful beaches and hiking trails. On a clear night when the house lights are turned off, the hot tub on the deck has a spectacular view of the Milky Way!
