Luxury modern retreat just 90 minutes from Chicago and steps from Grand Mere State Park. DuneHaus is a 5-bedroom, 4-bath home designed for memorable family getaways, multi-family vacations, and weekend retreats. The home sleeps up to 16 guests and is best suited for 10 adults plus children, with flexible sleeping arrangements including sleeper sofas and bunk accommodations.

Enjoy your own private pool, hot tub, and expansive front and back patios—perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach or dunes. Inside, the home features a fully equipped chef’s kitchen, spacious living areas, in-home laundry, and two 75” smart TVs for movie nights, board games, and family gatherings. As the sun sets, gather around the wood-burning fire pit and enjoy peaceful evenings under beautifully star-filled skies.

Guests can walk to the dunes at Grand Mere State Park, enjoy access to private Lake Solis, or take a short drive to Weko Beach and Lake Michigan for unforgettable sunset views. Local wineries, golf courses, breweries, and family-friendly attractions are all just minutes away.

Ideal for large families, reunions, and group getaways from Chicago.

Pool: Our private pool is open from Memorial Day weekend through September 30th, weather permitting. Optional pool heating is available for an additional $100/day and must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.

We had a great stay here! Plenty of space, it was very clean, well equipped with everything needed from kitchenware to linens, spices, coffee, etc. The pool jacuzzi was excellent after a day out on the golf course! Check-in and check-out was a breeze as well. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you Yash!!

This property was the perfect fit for a women's getaway. From the moment we arrived, it felt peaceful, inviting and full of natural light. There were 8 of us and the layout worked beautifully. With 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, there was plenty of space for everyone to gather or have quiet time when needed. The bedrooms were thoughtfully arranged, spacious & comfortable, and the bathrooms were well stocked (hair dryers in every one). Even the 2 adults staying in the bunk room said it was comfortable and relaxing. I appreciated the flow of the house. Whether we were sharing meals around the dining table, gathering around the coffee bar in the mornings, or relaxing in the heated pool & hot tub at night, the space naturally brought people together. No matter where we went during the day, it always felt like a grounding space to return. The property became part of the experience and made connection effortless. The location was excellent. Dablon Vineyards, Weko beach, and several great restaurants were all just a short drive away. I loved sleeping in the loft area & being able to see the stars and constellations at night as it felt like sleeping under the stars. The property was thoughtfully stocked & the hosts were responsive & easy to communicate with. The flower like lights near the fire pit area were a warming touch. The property felt even better in person than the photos. I would highly recommend it for a girls' trip or family reunions and we will definitely stay here again!

Everything you need, and some you didn't know you would need, is at this house. There are small appliances on site: air fryer, crock pot, instant pot, and blender to name a few, which is great for eating in. You don't need to worry about "too many cooks in the kitchen" in the spacious kitchen/dining area. The room/bedroom configuration allows for varying family units, from couples to children. Board games for all age groups is a plus. Close proximity to the interstate gives you easy access for sightseeing and adventuring. It is a quiet, serene community, nestled in an alcove. Host is extremely responsive.

Run don’t walk to rent Dunehaus. It far exceeded our expectations. We’ve stayed in 5 star hotels that weren’t this nice. We were in town for our parent’s Memorial Service and Yash’s kind words and attention to detail made it feel like home. The coffee bar, was a hit and the kitchen is stocked with plenty of pots, pans, dishes, silverware, glassware, etc. Beds are super soft, bath towels fluffy and pillows your head sinks into. Lots of closet space and hangers. Hair dryers in every bathroom. Clean pool and large hot tub, 4 lounge chairs, outdoor seating for 8 and fire pit with 6 chairs & wood to burn. Outdoor deck table with 10 chairs and large umbrella and brand new grill (grill tools included). Dining table with 10 chairs, 2 sofas and the biggest flat screen TV, we’ve ever seen. I could go on and on, but like we said, run don’t walk to rent Dunehaus and don’t forget your fishing pole as our grandson caught a 14 inch large mouth bass in the community pond. Just don’t rent it at the same time we want to.
