Welcome! Our modern 2-room vacation rental (3 stars) with a south-facing balcony was completely renovated in 2025—after undergoing a full restoration—and completely refurnished with great attention to detail. It’s one of the most beautiful vacation rentals you can book in Grömitz right now. With 44 square meters of space, the apartment offers plenty of room for 4 people. All furnishings—from the coffee maker to the high-quality mattresses—were newly purchased as part of the renovation.

3-star classification (DTV)
As of September 2023, our high-quality vacation rental meets the requirements for a 5-star classification from the German Tourism Association (first-class overall amenities with exclusive comfort, a generous selection of outstanding quality, and a very well-maintained, exceptional overall impression). However, we have made a conscious decision to have our vacation rental classified as only 3 stars. Reason: For 4- and 5-star vacation rentals, the host is required to provide bed linens and towels. And since it feels like everything is getting more expensive these days, we want our guests to continue having the freedom to decide whether they’d like to bring their own bed linens and towels.

Good to know:
Free Wi-Fi is available in the apartment. You can also use free high-speed Wi-Fi on the promenade and at the beach. The elevator provides barrier-free access to the second floor.
The vacation rental includes a small garage (dimensions: 5.30 m × 2.10 m), which can also be used to store bicycles. Please note that the garage is too small for today’s modern cars (the Wiking building was constructed at a time when the VW Beetle was still the standard ;-). Our recommendation: For cars, there is an affordable public parking lot right next door and only 80 meters away on Schützenstraße (daily pass €3, as of July 2026). You can conveniently drive right up to the building entrance to load and unload.
There are several coin-operated washing machines and a dryer in a common area. An iron and a folding board are also available for your use.

The Location
The well-maintained apartment building “Haus Wiking” is located at Schützenstraße 47, in a prime, central, and quiet location in Grömitz, yet also in close proximity to the beach—just 200 meters from the long promenade and the kilometer-long sandy beach. In just 2 minutes, you’ll be at the promenade or in a beach chair. The nearest bakery and other shops are within walking distance, about a 5-minute walk away. The popular restaurants “Gosch” and “Falkenthal” are just a few minutes’ walk away. In the summer of 2023, the Dünenpark opened in Grömitz. The Dünenpark is THE new tourist attraction of the town of Grömitz and is located right across from our vacation rental. Right on the beach, you’ll now find the new DLRG main station, new recreational areas, a promenade, an adventure and water playground, attractive new shops to browse, restaurants, a hostel, and a beach club right by the sea. Look forward to the Tamatsu restaurant (sushi in its finest variations, freshly caught Baltic Sea fish, tender marbled meat, crisp salads, and vegetarian & vegan surprises). And the popular Junge bakery has also opened a branch in Dünenpark.

High-quality furnishings ensure comfort and coziness—you’ll feel right at home here in all four seasons. Relax in the bright, modern, and cozy living room. A high-end Samsung Neo QLED 4K flat-screen TV (43 inches) provides entertainment in the living room in case the weather isn’t cooperating. In addition, this audio system is at your disposal: Philips DAB+ Radio M2505/10 Digital Radio (DAB+/FM, multi-pairing Bluetooth, 3.5-mm audio input, 2.75-inch full-range driver). Modern pleated blinds offer perfect protection from the sun and prying eyes, and high-quality curtains ensure a pleasant blackout at night. The living area opens directly onto the sunny south-facing balcony, where you can enjoy your first cup of coffee in the morning.

The bedroom is equipped with a comfortable double bed (sleeping area 180 x 200 cm), a high-end Samsung Neo QLED 4K flat-screen TV (30 inches), and a spacious closet for your vacation wardrobe. In addition, a high-quality sleeper sofa (140 x 200 cm) is available in the living room. With a Bruno sleeper sofa, it takes just 15 seconds to unfold and fold it up.
