Modern Mountain Retreat on Blue Knob Mountain - Ski, Hike, Bike, or Just Relax!!

Our mountain house is located at an elevation of +2,900 feet; hands down, the Midway Chalet is the premier vacation chalet on Blue Knob Mountain and all of West Central PA!

Located in a residential section of the Blue Knob Four Season resort area, our privately owned house is surrounded by the quiet of the mountains. Whether you are seeking winter skiing, springtime world-class trout fishing, summer golf, mountain biking and hiking, or crisp fall days, relaxing in the beautiful fall colors, the Midway Chalet delivers.

The Midway Chalet features a large main-level great room with 20' ceilings, a large fireplace, dining seating for 12, and a large kitchen island for great conversations, watching your favorite sporting events, or hanging out. The lower level features a separate living area and a wet bar for movie-watching or video gaming.

Outside, you will find a front porch with rocking chairs and a porch swing, and a rear deck that makes you feel like you are in a treehouse, with a large picnic table, lounge chairs, and a gas grill. Don't forget about evening campfires in our large fire pit with plenty of firewood provided by your host.

For accommodations, our house features four (4) bedrooms plus a bunk room that will accommodate up to three (3) families or a group of up to 10 adults.

Our guests can walk to the ski slopes in the winter, and when the conditions are right, ski right back to the front door. Hiking and biking trails can be accessed right across the street, and the resort amenities - indoor swimming pool, hot tub, small fitness room, outdoor pool (summer only), tennis courts, and golf course are less than a mile from our house and available to all guests.

NOTE: This home does not have Air Conditioning. Located on the top of Blue Knob mountain, temperatures are typically 5 - 10 degrees cooler than in Altoona/Johnstown. All rooms have ceiling fans, and we have floor fans for those few hot/humid days in the summer.
