Large bright apartment - beside park.

This apartment has been been completely refurbished and renovated. The bedrooms are bright and spacious and the kitchen has been fitted with the necessary kitchen appliances - electric cooker, microwave, gas hob. A large sitting room/dining room comfortably seats up to 4 people. There is a TV/DVD/FM radio (French/Spanish channels; also with Chromecast provided).. The large balcony extends from the main bedroom - around two sides of the apartment - to the side of the sitting room.
Free parking is included with this apartment which is in a quiet residential areas.

In addition bus stops within 5 minutes can bring you to the beach (25 minutes) or the airport (20 minutes).
The centre of Perpignan - Le Castillet - is just 10 minutes stroll through the park.

Perpignan apartment

The apartment is bright, comfortable, very well equipped for all our needs and suitably prepared for our arrival. Its location is in a very convenient residential area, just outside the old town centre – only 10 minutes walk - and very quiet; and there is always a free parking space outside the building. The owner and the local housekeeper were extremely accommodating and very helpful. There are lots of things to see and in the unlikely event that one might exhaust the local interest, Spain is only half an hour away. Overall a great place to visit and re-visit.

Home away from home!

A friend of mine recommended this charming apartment to me, and I couldn't be happier with my decision to stay here!!! As an English teaching assistant, I rented the apartment for 8 months during the French school year. Throughout all 8 months Brendan, the owner, was extremely helpful and accommodating! I was impressed with the size of this clean and well-maintained apartment, and the balcony is an impressive size as well (great to enjoy a cup of tea or meal while soaking up the southern French sun!!!). In front of the apartment, there is a boulangerie (French baguette/pastry shop), a shop for grocery essentials, and a bus-stop with quick transfers to nearby/charming beaches and towns, and even to the train station and airport. If you enjoy cooking like I do, the kitchen is well-equipped, and there is also a huge bath for those who like to kick back and relax. This quiet building is also within walking-distance of a beautiful park, the Office of Tourism, and downtown Perpignan (downtown, by the way, is full of wonderful cafés, shops, and restaurants...a great atmosphere for families or singles). I must also add that Brendan recently purchased a new, good-sized/great quality television. I miss the apartment and wish I could have taken it back with me to the states! I would absolutely recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a relaxing "home away from home" during their stay in the beautiful south of France!

Appartement agréable, propre, spacieux disposant de volets électriques et d'un très grand balcon faisant angle, au 1e étage donc pas besoin d'ascenseur même si l'immeuble en dispose. Parking gratuit. Idéalement situé à proximité du centre et de l'axe routier menant aux plages. Hôte très réactive et sympathique.Même à 2, un réfrigérateur un peu plus grand serait vraiment parfait.

Appartement bien situé, proche du centre

L'appartement est fonctionnel, conforme à la description, proche du centre historique, accessible en 10-15 minutes à pied. Le parking, sans place attitrée mais réservé à la résidence est un plus. La température peut monter assez vite dans l'appartement, mais nous n'avons pas forcément utilisé les ventilateurs disponibles.Le frigo est trop petit pour une famille de 4 personnes sauf si on souhaite prendre de nombreux repas à l'extérieur.

Appartement spacieux au 1er étage avec grand balcon et parking

Nous avons bien aimé cet appartement et l'accueil très sympa (avec une bouteille de rosé et du fromage et pain miam). Brendan était très réactif et a échangé la machine à café défaillante en quelques heures, top. Seul bémol c'est la chaleur en été (l'appart n'est pas climatisé), avec les fenêtres ouvertes la nuit on entend les voitures de la rue (pas très nombreux cepandant). Dommage qu'il n'y a pas de lave-vaiselle mais c'est du luxe ;-)

Great family holiday.

Brendan's (and Deborah's) communication was detailed and friendly prior to travel, not only informing us of the apartment details, but also acting as remote travel guide. Apartment is very spacious and bright, with large windows across two walls of living area. It's a very good size, we are a family of four with a 4 and 7 year old and we were able to spread out. Good bakery and general store just around the corner, everyone really happy to help with our very broken French and to play along with our children's speaking French too. It's a great position to enjoy town centre eating/entertainment and easy to travel to beach and sights in region; circa 1 hour to Girona too. Can't recommend enough, thank you.

Perfect, safe and as described!

A colleague and I stayed in this well equipped, bright and conveniently located apartment for a week in June. The bakery round the corner offers artisanal bread and patisserie, the local wine shop stocks an amazing variety of wines and the owner is exceptionally friendly whose recommendations we thoroughly enjoyed. The week went far too quick (so much to see and do) - Brendan and Deborah were both brilliant supporting and advising where needed. Would certainly recommend!

Isabelle, glad you got to taste some of the local artisan products....Languedoc is full of great food and wines. That wine shop down the street also does great wine+jazz evenings out on the footpath - not to be missed!

Perpignan apartment

The apartment is very spacious, and it was nice to have a balcony to sit out on. It was very hot during our stay, but sleeping presented no problem. The kitchen was well equipped, the welcome pack was appreciated. Although no dedicated parking, we always found a space. Once we got our bearings we found the routes into Northern Spain and the coast easy to access. Places to visit are Roses, Gerona, and Collioure. Port Bou is worth the difficult drive along the Corniche. A very enjoyable stay.

Glad you enjoyed your stay in Residence Mimosas. Thanks for your comments Judy. The apartment is on a cul-de-sac and parking is limited to the residents/visitors to Residence Mimosas. So there is adequate and secure space for guests to park. For driving into Spain the quickest option is the A9/E15 that crosses the frontier. For a more scenic (and challenging!) drive take the Corniche which has some really spectacular views around Collioure and as you descend into Spain.

Apartment. in South of France. Lovely. Spacious.

Location, perfect. Cul de sac, no traffic. Well maintained. Good communication. Would recommend. Plenty of places to eat. 12km from Med. This is an old "wind down town" with lots of small modern boutiques in medieval narrow streets. Or just sit outside the Cafe de la Post with a beer, under the trees. And wait for the fire eaters festival (yes didn't expect that). Perpignan. Will go again for sure.

holiday in Perpignan

Perpignan is a beautiful old city. the apartment was spacious bright and comfortable, it is beside a very nice park that has a children's playground. There are plenty of places to eat

The playground is a big attraction for young families, just 100m from the apartment it is very convenient. Walk on another five minutes and you are in the center of old Perpignan. Here you'll find some great cafés/restaurants. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Come back soon!

Clean, comfortable, well-furnished and central

This is a very clean, well-furnished and comfortable two-bedroomed apartment less than 10 minutes walk from the centre of Perpignan. The apartment has all the modern conveniences you would want if you intended to live there - fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, tv, dvd player and WiFi. If you want to eat out Perpignan has some very nice restaurants in the centre. For eating in, the apartment has all the cooking utensils you would need along with a gas-hobbed cooker. If you hire a car, the apartment building has a car park outside. From the apartment it is roughly a 15-minute drive to Canet-Plage which has a huge beach. From there you can drive along the coast to Argeles, Collioure and on down into Spain. If you want to go further afield faster, the motorway runs right by Perpignan. We spent a very nice week in this apartment, and would go back again.

As well as renting a car you also have the option of using public transport. The bus from the Perpignan airport (20 minutes) stops 200m from the apartment; Canet-Plage has a bus every half hour (22 minute journey time) and tourists can avail of a €1 travel ticket to any town village in the region. Trains link coastal towns such as Argeles, Collioure and onto Girona/Barcelona.

Very nice apartment

I stayed in this aparment for one week with my husband and toddler. It was clean, spacious and had everything needed for a holiday away from home. The balcony was great as it allowed my daughter some freedom to run around safely and provided us with a space in which to relax and have some wine. It is a very quiet area, near a beautiful playground, and within walking distance of the city centre.There is also a regular bus service to the beach across the road from the playground. I would definitely stay here again as it very much lived up to my expectations.

Residence Mimosas

Very comfortable well equipped apartment. Walking distance to historic centre and restaurants.Nearby Boulangerie and 8-8 shop had most supplies. For those without cars, there were plenty of buses into town centre and to the beach. Bus station offered a good variety of travel further afield on comfortable coaches and very cheap...1 euro each way. Visited Collioure, Ceret and Amelie les Bains (great spa treatments available). Beachwise, if you want a large resort with lots of facilities (fun for young set) go to Canet-Plage or on the bus from apartment Ste-Marie-Plage is much quieter but also has a lovely beach. Swimming great. Would recommend both Apartment and Perpignan to anyone.

A great place to stay

Having booked this apartment online we were most impressed when we arrived and saw the real thing. Unlike some places which are made to look better than they really are it more than measured up to our expectations. Brendan's place is very light, bright and airy but stays cool because of the patio type doors onto the wrap around the balcony which, in itself, is one of its many attractive features. It is very comfortable, spotlessly clean and truly felt like home from home.There was ample space for 3 of us and it was a great place to come back to after a hard day out!. The location is great, very convenient but quiet. It was good to be in a pleasant residential neighbourhood so that we could try to tell ourselves that we were not mere tourists but locals for a week. This must be one of the very best rental apartments we have ever stayed in and we would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for self-catering accommodation in Perpignan.

perfect location in Perpignan

We were a party of 4 adults that stayed in the apartment over the Christmas Period. It was warm and comfortable. Location was perfect 10 minutes walk into the centre and the restaurants and Cafe. Many of the restaurants were closed over the Christmas - but had lovely meals in Casa SAnsa, CAfe Vienne The parking was great and free. we never had any problems parking. The Boulangerie was around the corner and the minimarket beside was great for emergencies- The big shopping we did in Auchon - follow the signs for Barcelona. We used it as a base and visted Colioure, Narbonne, Cap d'Agde, Banyuls, Carcasonne, Ceret. Recommend the Gorge of Galamus for a driving experience- not for the faint hearted driver or passengers
