▶ Guest Access:
• You'll have the cabin and outdoor fire pit area all to yourself. Guests are not permitted in the loft. For your safety, please do not attempt to climb up there.
▶ Property Layout & Boundaries:
The property contains two separate vacation rentals on our nearly 4-acre wooded property. The homes are privately situated, not visible to one another, and do not share amenities or guest spaces. The only shared area is the main driveway entrance.
Although the property feels secluded and neighboring homes are not visible, private properties surround the area. Please remain within the areas designated for your rental and do not enter neighboring properties or any private storage, maintenance, or equipment areas.
▶ Other Details:
• Local Hosts:
Hosts live on the 4-acre property and may occasionally be seen working around the grounds or forest trails. While interaction is entirely optional, as long-time residents they are always happy to share local recommendations and favorite spots to help guests make the most of their Olympic Peninsula stay.
• No Smoking/Vaping:
Due to fire danger in our forest area and for the comfort of all guests, smoking or vaping of any substance is not permitted anywhere on the property, indoors or outdoors.
▶ Sustainable Features & Backup Power:
Located just minutes from hiking trails and outdoor recreation, the cabin was designed with sustainability and simplicity in mind. The cabin features an easy-to-use incinerator dry flush toilet — a modern, water-conserving system that is clean, odor-free, and simple to operate. Clear instructions are provided for use. Enjoy a comfortable forest retreat while minimizing your environmental footprint.
• We use earth-friendly cleaning products to help maintain a safe, healthy, and environmentally conscious space for our guests.
• Backup Power:
The cabin is equipped with a backup generator for added peace of mind during occasional mountain power outages.
• Dry Flush Toilet:
To help conserve water and reduce environmental impact, the cabin is equipped with a Laveo Dry Flush Toilet (not a composting toilet). This eco-friendly system is completely waterless, odor-free, and easy to use. Clear instructions for use are provided at the property.
▶ Wildlife & Nature:
We are surrounded by native forest and wildlife. Deer, birds, rabbits, squirrels, and other animals are commonly seen around the property. Please enjoy wildlife from a respectful distance and do not approach or feed animals.
To help keep wildlife wild, do not leave food, beverages, coolers containing food, or scented items outdoors, in backpacks, or in your vehicle. Even small items such as a wrapped granola bar can attract wildlife. A cooler containing only sealed, unopened beverages may be left on the covered porch.
As with any forest environment, insects occasionally find their way indoors. We perform regular inspections and pest control, but you may occasionally spot an insect during your stay.
▶ Private Well Water:
Our rural property is served by a private well. The water quality is excellent and provides clean, fresh drinking water throughout the Cabin.
▶ Food & Beverages in Photos:
Food and beverages shown in listing photos are for styling and inspiration only and are not included with your stay. To help you settle in, we provide a complimentary starter supply of coffee and tea. Additionally, our fully equipped kitchen also includes a selection of basic cooking essentials, such as cooking oil and common spices. If you'd like to know whether a specific pantry item is available, just send us a message before your stay—we're happy to let you know.
