A character-filled Highland Park home on a corner lot, two blocks from York Blvd`s restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a well-appointed kitchen with butcher block countertops and a breakfast bar. The backyard is the heart of the home: a covered deck with outdoor dining, a gas fire pit on a dedicated line, and a Traeger pellet grill. Curated with a strong design sensibility throughout.
The home sits on a corner lot in one of Highland Park`s most walkable pockets, with a side entry that opens directly into the living area. The room is immediately comfortable, anchored by a sofa and a Frame TV, with curated art and furnishings that give the space a clear point of view. The design reads as lived-in and considered rather than staged, which is part of what makes this home feel different from a typical rental.
The kitchen is well-equipped for actual cooking. Butcher block countertops, a full suite of appliances, and a breakfast bar with seating give the space both function and warmth. A Samsung refrigerator stands out as a genuinely nice detail. The kitchen and dining area connect naturally, and the layout is open enough to move between spaces without feeling crowded.
For those who appreciate a proper morning ritual, the home includes a quality espresso machine and a curated selection of teas sourced from China, Taiwan, and Japan. It is the kind of detail that sets the tone for the stay.
The primary bedroom has a king bed and its own en-suite bathroom. It is set toward the back of the home and accesses the rear deck directly through sliding patio doors, which makes the transition between inside and outside feel effortless. The second bedroom is set up with a queen bed and a small desk area, well suited for a guest or for remote work. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom.
The backyard is where this home earns its character. A covered deck provides a proper outdoor dining area, shaded and comfortable for meals or evenings out. The gas fire pit runs on a dedicated line, so there is no propane to manage and no interruption once it is going. A Traeger pellet grill and smoker rounds out the outdoor space for guests who want to cook outside. The yard feels private and well-maintained, with the covered structure making it usable regardless of the time of day.
In-unit washer and dryer are included. Please note there is no dedicated parking on the property. Street parking is plentiful on the surrounding corner lot streets.
Guests will have access to the entire home and outdoor areas. There will be no one else on the property, other than the weekly gardener, unless otherwise discussed with you in advance.
Please note the detached studio structure and the garage are both locked and not available for guest use.

This corner lot home sits in the heart of Highland Park, one of the most culturally active neighborhoods on the east side of Los Angeles. York Boulevard is two blocks away, with a dense stretch of independent coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and local retail that makes this area genuinely walkable by LA standards. Civil Coffee, The York, Hermosillo, and Kaldi Coffee are all within easy reach on foot. The neighborhood has a strong creative community and a local character that draws visitors looking for something more residential and neighborhood-driven than the Westside or Hollywood. The Metro A Line runs through the area for car-free connections to downtown and beyond.
Most people choose to have a car when visiting Southern California. There are an abundant amount of unique and significant attractions within two hours of this home. If you are an explorer, we recommend a car.
That said, this is one of the more walkable neighborhoods in Los Angeles. York Boulevard is two blocks away, and the Highland Park Metro station connects you to downtown and the broader rail network. Uber and Lyft are readily available as well.

There is a 10-day grace period to return any items taken from the home at check-out (keys, garage remotes, etc). Replacement costs will be charged to guests if items are not received within 10 days of check-out.
Please note that this is a non-smoking property. Any violation of the no-smoking policy will result in a minimum $250 fine.
Utility Usage: Utilities are included up to the property`s recent average usage. Any excessive use above that amount may result in additional charges. If applicable, payment for utility overages is due within 14 days of check-out.

- Damages and/or failure to pick up after your pet may result in additional charges at check-out. Pets and animals are not permitted at the property at any time whatsoever unless otherwise agreed upon in writing prior to booking. Failure to comply with this will result in an additional charge of up to $1000 and/or eviction without limiting any other legal or equitable remedies available to Owner and/or Company. Maximum of 2 pets allowed.
- For any items left behind after check-out, guests will be charged the shipping costs and an additional service fee of $25.
- A minimum of $25 will be charged per lost or unreturned keys, fobs, or access cards. Please ensure they are returned before check-out.
- Please note that this is a non-smoking property. Any violation of the no-smoking policy will result in a $250 fine.
- Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM. Please be mindful of the noise level during these hours to respect neighbors and others in the area.
- Guests are responsible for any damage to the property or its contents during their stay. Any damages must be reported immediately to the host to ensure proper documentation.
- Please dispose of all trash in the designated bins provided. If the trash bins are full, please notify the host for further instructions.
- Any unregistered guests are not allowed to stay overnight without prior written approval from the host. Additional guests may result in an additional charge.
