In the heart of the north - lovingly furnished apartment, ideal for small families

A lovingly furnished 60 m² vacation rental with a bathtub and a wood-burning stove, located near downtown on a quiet side street. From here, it’s a 5-minute walk to the famous Norder weekly market and the bustling downtown area with all it has to offer. The Norden train station is 1 km away, and the dike and Norddeich beach are 5 km away. If you’d like to explore the wider area without a car, you’ll find many bus connections to the surrounding villages and towns from the nearby market square. East Frisia offers many attractions that are accessible from here. You’ll be in a central location, but you won’t be staying in a bustling tourist hotspot—instead, you’ll be in a quiet residential street.

Since we, as a family with two children, use the apartment ourselves from time to time, it has more of the character of a cozy home than a spartan, run-of-the-mill vacation rental. It’s well-equipped with everything you might need to enjoy a pleasant and relaxing vacation.

A large, open-concept living area with a kitchen and living room offers plenty of space to relax and spend time together. A sofa area with a TV, a wood-burning stove, and a well-equipped kitchen and dining area help you feel right at home here.

The utility room is equipped with a washing machine, dryer, and freezer compartment. The bathroom/toilet also features a bathtub. Firewood for the wood-burning stove is provided during the cold season.

A small bedroom is primarily intended for young guests, but with a 1.40-meter loft bed and a small single bed, it can also accommodate up to two adults. The large bedroom features a 1.80-meter double bed and another TV, perfect for movie nights in bed. The apartment is located on the first floor of the front building. A parking space on the property is available for use. A family lives in the rear building and will handle the key handover. In addition to the maximum of 3 guests, babies or toddlers may also stay, provided they can sleep in their parents’ bed or in a crib (available upon request).

As a tourist destination, the city of Norden requires the payment of a visitor’s tax per guest per night. This tax helps to expand and maintain the tourist infrastructure. As hosts in a tourist area, we are required to collect this amount and forward it to the tourist tax administration. In return, you can take advantage of various discounts, such as on bus tickets and admission tickets.
The conditions are as follows: Children are exempt; adults aged 14 and older pay €3.50 per night during the high season (March 15 through October 31) and €1.80 during the low season (November through March 14). Long-term stays are capped at a maximum of €98 per year. Anyone staying in Norden for business reasons is exempt from paying the visitor’s tax. For more details, see the City of Norden’s guest tax ordinance. We must collect these amounts in cash upon arrival, so they are effectively added to the room rate. Otherwise, we do not charge any additional fees for linens, the washing machine, or similar services.
