Nora - The cob vacation home - FH on the shores of the Bodden, approx. 90 m²

The Nora clay vacation home is located just outside the town of Wiek, in a quiet setting on the edge of a vacation home community (dead-end street) on a 500-square-meter lot of natural land with a view to the west toward the Bodden, the islands of Hiddensee and Dranske, and a view to the north toward a meadow—a nature reserve—just 100 meters from the Wieker Bodden.

Vacation is the best time of the year. That’s why we’re offering you our clay house.
Built according to ecological guidelines, it’s breathable thanks to clay plaster applied over Poroton bricks. The ceiling insulation consists of 50 cm-thick straw bales, windproofed with wooden formwork in classic Swedish red.
The property is heated by a 18,000-liter water storage tank, which is heated using solar thermal energy.



House on the Bodden, approx. 90 square meters:

- approx. 90 square meters of open-plan living space, wheelchair accessible, non-smoking home,
- fully equipped kitchenette with dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, 4-burner ceramic cooktop and oven, open to the dining and living area with satellite TV, radio with USB port, Wi-Fi connection, a wood-burning stove, and access to the lawn via two steps.
- One bedroom with a double bed, one bedroom with a bunk bed, and space for a travel crib (provided)
- Guest bathroom with sink and washing machine,
- Bathroom with toilet, sink, shower, and sauna.
- A furnished sun terrace, a furnished terrace on the north side, and various cozy nooks for bookworms.
- A lockable storage area for bicycles in the carport; 2 bicycles provided—enough for a trip to the local store; for longer rides, please bring your own bicycles.
- 2 parking spaces
- Children’s amenities: high chair, travel crib; 100 m to the Bodden with a sunbathing area.



Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to midnight, and check-out from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
