Exactly what we wanted

My wife and I were looking for a beautiful, cozy place to stay in Provence, and this place was exactly that. Having a kitchen let us try our hand at French cooking, and the location was absolutely perfect as a base for exploring Vaucluse and the Luberon. The hosts were gracious and helpful, and the property was beautiful, and only 10 minutes from St. Remy. I would definitely stay here again.

Découverte provence

Magnifique logement, très bien entretenu par les propriétaires , décoré avec beaucoup de goûts et de charme . Le calme et la quiétude sont au rendez-vous. Idéalement situé a 10min de Saint Rémy. Provence vom Feinsten

Traumhaftes Anwesen in zentraler Lage Nähe Saint Remy. Wunderschöner Innenhof mit Pool und ein zauberhaft eingerichtetes Studio haben uns unsere Woche Provence versüßt. Mit dem netten, unkomplizierten Vermieter Dieter ließ es sich sehr gut auskommen und auch unsere Hunde wurden freundlich willkommen geheißen. Von dort aus war vieles sehr gut zu erreichen und in Saint Remy kann man toll essen gehen. Sehr gerne kommen wir wieder!

Einfach super schön

Wir waren zwei Wochen im sehr romantischen Cottage, welches liebevoll ausgestattet und hergerichtet ist und hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit dort. Im authentisch gestalteten Innenhof mit Pool, der größer als erwartet war, konnte man sehr gemütlich die Mahlzeiten zu sich nehmen, dem Hausherren beim Klavierspiel zuhören und toll entspannen. Ein Auto vor Ort zu haben, ist sehr empfehlenswert. Die Fotos geben die Unterkunft und die Umgebung sehr gut wieder. Ganz herzlichen Dank an wunderbare Gastgeber!

Traumhaft und idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge

Wir waren im Mas Dagan 10 Tage im Mai 2017 und haben zusammengefasst einen romantischen, vielseitigen, erholsamen Urlaub genossen (2 EW). * Besonders gut hat uns das liebevoll eingerichtete und wunderbar romantisch angelegte Anwesen im Landhausstil gefallen; der Garten und Pool sind herrlich, es gibt nur wenige Wohneinheiten/Ferienwohnungen, sodass man beinahe unter sich ist, die Anlage ist weitläufig inmitten von Feldern und Wiesen; der Pool ist nur wenig gechlort, schön in Natursteine eingefasst * Ebenso gefallen hat uns die Gastfreundschaftlichkeit des/der Hausherren/in; wir haben uns sehr wohl und ungestört gefühlt, sehr gute Tipps für Ausflüge und Märkte erhalten * Schön für uns war, dass wir unseren Hund mitbringen durften. Ideal für die Vierbeiner, da an das Grundstück direkt eine verwilderte Wiese grenzt, wobei genügend Wanderwege für Spaziergänge in der Nähe zum „Gassi gehen“ vorhanden sind. Es war die ganze Zeit herrlich ruhig; das einzige was man hört, sind die Frösche mit ihrem Maikonzert und der Wind in den Bäumen sowie, wenn man Glück hat, ein Klavierspiel des Hausherrn; * Vom Domizil erreicht man unzählige attraktive Orte und Sehenswürdigkeiten oder Märkte mit dem Auto in 10-45 Minuten Autofahrt, zum Meer ca. 1 Std 10 Min.; es gibt unzählige sehenswerte Städte (z.B. Avignon), malerische Dörfer (z.B. Gordes), spektakuläre Landschaften (z.B. Luberon), tolle verträumte Märkte (z.B. Eygaliere), Sehenswürdigkeiten (z.B. Les Baux) etc. in unmittelbarer Auto-Nähe. Was nicht optimal ist, uns selbst aber nicht gestört hat: * ohne Auto nicht empfehlenswert, da man zur nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeit ca. 5 Minuten mit dem Auto braucht * Die Straße, die hinter dem Haus entlangführt, ist eine mehr oder weniger befahrene Landstraße, für Geräuschempfindliche vielleicht störend * Da es sich um ein 200 Jahre altes, in natürlicher Landschaft gelegenes Anwesen handelt, muss man damit rechnen, dass es den Charme mit unebenen Böden und (falls man nicht immer alle Türen und Fenster geschlossen halten will) Insektenbesuch hat, also nicht die Sterilität eines Innenstadthotels. Da wir zur Blütezeit da waren, waren morgens im Pool auch Grassamen/Blüten, die dann mit dem Kescher immer wieder mal entfernt werden; Wir persönlich finden dies toll und hatten uns das genau so vorgestellt, aber es gab parallel Urlauber zu uns, die sich laut über solche Dinge beschwert hatten, was für uns unbegreiflich war.

Französischer Traum

Ich durfte im JUni diesen Jahres eine zauberhafte woche in diesem französischen kleinod verbringen. Schon wenn man auf den Hof fährt, taucht man in eine andere welt ein, streift den alltag ab und kommt sofort in urlaubsstimmung. die mischung aus gutem geschmack verbunden mit dem charne des französischen unperfekten (es kann auch mal der strom kurzzeitig weg sein, oder eine beleuchtung im pool ausfallen) machen das ambiente des inzwischen allein vom besitzer geführten hauses aus. die zauberhafte ruhe am pool und all die liebevollen details in und auf dem hof verdienen höchster anerkennung. in dieses refugium komme ich bestimmt bald wieder!

Not for arachnophobists & hayfever sufferers!"

"A tastefully decorated, beautiful old Provence farmhouse (Mas) in the countryside outside St Remy, set in a lush garden with a large pool. We particularly looked forward to this stay after seeing the beautiful pictures online and chatting (online and on the phone) to the friendly German owner (who doesn't live on site). However, we were quite disappointed on our arrival to find our accommodation - COLETTE - to be very dusty and full of spider webs. The child's bedroom was so dirty that our youngest son refused to sleep there. We spend the first evening cleaning, finding piles of dirt and dust under the beds - quite annoying, seeing we had already paid a 70 Euro final cleaning fee. The French-only speaking housekeeper got very upset when we complained and it all turned into a bit of a drama....anyway, she did apologize eventually and did clean the place the next day while we were out sightseeing. Once it was cleaned, we ended up having a lovely and comfortable stay. Hayfever sufferers will battle with the pollen from the plane trees though. The website also doesn't mention that the house backs directly onto quite a busy country road, but the road is quiet at night. There are several other apartments at Mas Dagan. There were 9 other guests, including a young child, staying there while we were there, but it wasn't noisy and everyone was friendly and sociable. So, apart from the initial lack of cleanliness, I found it a lovely, relaxing place to stay."

A delightful getaway

What a great find this was for a stay with my wife nearest my favourite town in The South of France, St Reme. The owners are very warm and helpful, and did their best to ensure our stay was stress free. Set in a picture perfect setting and surrounding, 'Daudet' was a beautiful self contained apartment. Although we went to local restaurants, we preferred to visit the local supermarket and shop for the best local produce and wines. We then returned to our gite sometimes setting up a table in the courtyard, laden with food and wine. Sometimes our neighbours joined us for exchange of good conversation. Being sociable and artistic, we found the other guests very interesting, maybe the setting helped everyone relax. It was one of the best holidays we've had and the owners are very interesting and creative, obviously shown in the detail of the accomodation. My wife and I are artists and we are very drawn to beauty so 'Daudet' ticked all the right boxes.

France at its best.

My stay was better than expected. The way they have converted the property into very individual apartments all with modern facilities but still keeping that old French feel is impressive. The gardens are secluded and peacefull with the wonderfull shade of the Plain Trees and the pool was the icing on the cake. A good walking area. We aim to visit again in 2010.

Hier ist Frankreich am schönsten...

Vom ersten Moment unseres zweiwöchigen Besuches im Juni an haben wir uns hier wohlgefühlt, das Anwesen ist mit viel Liebe restauriert und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Ich habe selten so herzliche Gastgeber erlebt und im August gleich wieder eine Woche hier verbracht. Mas Dagan ist malerisch gelegen und bietet in der näheren Umgebung hervorragende Ausflugsziele.

wir waren bereits zum zweiten mal im mas dagan und kehren sicherlich wieder dorthin zurück. liebliche einrichtung bis ins detail durchdacht. schöne parkanlage. wir sind kaum auswärts essen gegangen, weil wir uns an ort und stelle so wohl gefühlt haben. für hundehalter mit ihren vierbeinern ideal. danke mona

Mas Dagan Provence

This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed in. Each apartment is beautifully decorated with a Provencal flavor and provided with everything you could need. The owners are very attentive to all details. The setting is really beautiful and the garden/ pool area is a great place to relax, whether during the day or having a family dinner by candlelight at night. While you need a car, St. Remy, one of the most charming towns in Provence with some very good restaurants (and one of the best markets), is very close as are all all the shops you may need. The location is also perfect for exploring all parts of Provence since it is very centrally located for the region. I have heartily recommended Mas Dagan to my friends and family and really look forward to my next visit.
