Less than a 10-minute walk from Südstrand—the world’s largest sandbox—the hosts have created an oasis of well-being amidst the wonderful North Sea dune landscape, reflecting their life in St. Peter-Ording between beach sailing, the marina, and the sea. From the carport with an electric charging station, through the small, cozy front yard—which also serves as a natural privacy screen—you’re immediately greeted upon arrival by the invigorating salty air and the peaceful atmosphere. Upon entering the sustainably designed and furnished house, you first arrive in the entryway, which features a handmade coat rack, a guest restroom, and the staircase leading to the first floor. To the left is the door to the cozy kitchen with restored wooden elements and a new, modern kitchen island. Fully equipped, this is an excellent place to spend your vacation as a self-caterer—even for large families and groups of friends. Next to the kitchen is the utility room (accessible from the outside as well—for wet beach clothes, for example), which includes a washer and dryer. On the first floor is a large and bright living/dining/kitchen area perfect for social gatherings—inspired by the ever-hospitable beach sailors, who always round off their shared sporting activities with a snack and good drinks. Also on the first floor is a bedroom with a comfortable double bed and an adjoining, completely redesigned bathroom featuring both a shower and a bathtub. Here, small details—such as the handcrafted wooden vanity and the carefully selected color scheme—particularly catch the eye, radiating warmth and coziness. The rear wall of the house is made entirely of glass, guaranteeing a sun-drenched stay and a magnificent view of the vast dune landscape (nature reserve) behind the house. Once you reach the heart of the apartment—the first floor—you’ll find a true oasis of well-being with a spacious lounge area, a fireplace, and comfortable armchairs that invite you to unwind completely or enjoy a cozy evening. Adjacent to this is another bedroom and a shower room. Like this living room, the other common areas are equipped with a Smart TV and a Sonos sound system; in addition to the fireplace on the first floor, there are also two additional sleeping spots in the form of a large sleeper sofa. For the little ones, there’s a dedicated playroom in the attic. It’s accessible via a spiral staircase and—another highlight of the house—a cantilevered walkway. There’s also a quiet retreat for adults under the roof, offering a place to relax with lounge pillows, a reading nook, and a TV.
