Bukowica Miła is a unique, hand-built home set in a forest clearing in the Low Beskids. Surrounded by 3 hectares of private land within a Natura 2000 area, it offers complete privacy, silence, and a deep connection with nature. No neighbors or noise—only forests, meadows, starry skies, and views of the San Valley. A place designed for rest, digital detox, and living in harmony with nature.
The Space:
Bukowica Miła is much more than a holiday rental. It is a unique home created from a desire to live closer to nature, built by hand with care, patience, and deep respect for the surrounding landscape. Nestled in a forest clearing high on the slopes of Mount Tokarnia, in the heart of the Low Beskids, it offers a rare combination of privacy, tranquility, and an authentic connection with the natural world.
The house spans over 100 square metres and comfortably accommodates up to seven guests. Its distinctive round-octagonal design, centred around a traditional chimney, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere unlike anything found in a typical holiday home.
The interiors are crafted primarily from wood and natural materials, giving the space a sense of warmth, character, and authenticity. Built gradually over many years, without rushing or compromising on quality, every detail reflects the story and intention behind its creation.
The greatest luxury here is not designer furnishings, but space, silence, and the freedom to slow down. Enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the endless panorama of the Low Beskids, spend evenings by the fire or beneath a sky full of stars, and begin your day with a walk through your own private woodland.
The property also features a natural pond fed by spring water flowing down the mountainside. Changing with the seasons, weather, and light, it forms a living ecosystem that attracts birds, insects, and other wildlife throughout the year.
Bukowica Miła was never designed as a tourist attraction. It is a real home that has preserved its soul and character, offering guests the opportunity to experience a simpler, more meaningful way of living in harmony with nature.
Guest Access:
Guests have exclusive access to the entire house and more than 3 hectares of private land, including woodland, meadows, and the area surrounding the natural pond.
You are free to enjoy all accessible parts of the property, explore the grounds, relax by the pond, observe local wildlife, and immerse yourself in complete privacy. There are no shared spaces and no other guests — during your stay, the entire world of Bukowica Miła is yours to enjoy.
As the property is located within a protected natural environment, we kindly ask guests to respect the surrounding ecosystem and help preserve the unique landscape and wildlife that make this place so special.
Firewood for the fireplace is available upon request for an additional fee of 60 PLN per basket.
The Neighborhood:
Bukowica Miła is located in one of the wildest and least populated parts of the Low Beskids, a region renowned for its vast forests, quiet trails, traditional Lemko villages, and a level of peace that has become increasingly rare in modern Europe.
Set high on the slopes of Mount Tokarnia, within a protected Natura 2000 area, the house is surrounded by unspoiled nature. Roe deer, red deer, foxes, and a rich variety of bird species are regular visitors to the area. After sunset, the absence of light pollution reveals exceptionally dark skies and countless stars rarely visible from urban environments.
Nearby, you will find scenic hiking and cycling routes, historic wooden churches, and expansive landscapes waiting to be explored. Yet the true value of this place lies in what it doesn't offer: crowds, noise, and distractions. Instead, it provides space, solitude, and a deep connection with the natural world.
This is a destination for those who are not looking for attractions, but for presence. Not for constant stimulation, but for stillness. Not for a packed itinerary, but for the simple luxury of being fully immersed in nature.
Getting Around:
The best way to get to Bukowica Miła is by car. There is a private parking area next to the house for 2 or 3 small cars. However, the access road to the parking area can become muddy, so in such cases we recommend leaving your car in the village of Wola Piotrowa.
Other Things to Note:
The house is supplied with natural spring water, so we kindly ask guests to use water responsibly and avoid unnecessary waste. If the water level becomes too low, it may be necessary to switch on the water pump. Detailed instructions will be provided before your arrival.
Bukowica Miła is part of a living natural ecosystem. The area is also home to edible dormice, small protected woodland animals that have been long-time residents of this place. They are completely harmless to humans, but you may occasionally hear them, especially in the evenings or at night, in the attic or within the walls. We consider them part of the authentic character of the house and the surrounding wilderness.
Interaction with Guests:
A person who looks after the house will welcome the guests on site, show them around the property, and hand over the keys.
Guests are ensured privacy and the freedom to enjoy the entire property. We also provide access to the Nestri helpline, as well as the option to contact us by phone or email. We are available to make sure your stay is comfortable and hassle-free.
