Over the past few years, we have lovingly and completely restored our old house in the historic village center of Nikiti. From the balcony, you have a beautiful view of the village and the sea, which is about a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute drive away. In the garden, you can use a small outdoor kitchen, grill, eat at the round dining table with a parasol, and relax as the evening winds down. We hope you feel just as at home in our house as we do!
The quiet location away from through traffic and the hustle and bustle, thick walls made of natural stone, plenty of wood, and the open ceiling on the upper floor that reveals the roof trusses invite you to relax. Air conditioning is available in every room. Custom-made double-glazed windows with shutters and fly-screen roller blinds provide protection from the sun and mosquitoes. An open fireplace invites you to enjoy cozy evenings during the colder months.
The two bedrooms and the modern bathroom with a walk-in shower are located in the basement. Both bedrooms have a closet; one has a double bed and the other has two single beds. Upstairs is the living room with an open, fully equipped kitchen featuring a dishwasher, microwave, oven, induction cooktop, and large refrigerator. There is also a small workspace, a large dining area, and a beautiful balcony overlooking the village and the sea.
Free parking is available on the street below the house. The trash containers are also located there, about 100 m from the house. You can also pull over right in front of the house on the street to load and unload; there’s practically no through traffic.
Several restaurants, cafes, and bars are within walking distance, though some may be closed in the winter. Nikiti also has several supermarkets, a weekly market, a butcher shop, and fishmongers. Boutiques, shops for beach gear, and souvenir shops are also available. There’s even a honey shop run by the local honey producer with a wide selection. There are also several doctors’ offices in town. You can find more details about local amenities in our guest information folder.
Nikiti is located on the "middle finger" of Sithonia, one of the three peninsulas of Chalkidiki. It is not purely a tourist village but is inhabited year-round as the regional center of the peninsula. Unlike many parts of Greece, it’s very green here. The peninsula has stunning beaches, some of which remain uncrowded even during peak season, all with crystal-clear water (visibility up to 20 meters!). You can usually swim and snorkel until the end of October, and hike year-round in the magnificent natural surroundings—with tall pine forests on steep mountain slopes—and go on beautiful excursions. Particularly worth visiting are Parthenonas—a historic village on Sithonia, perched several hundred meters above sea level with a breathtaking view of Mount Olympus at sunset—a waterfall, and, of course, Thessaloniki, located about 90 km away.
