You will be woken up in the morning by the singing birds and then enjoy your coffee with the sounds of nature. Just across the border in Belgium you will find the Achelse kluis, a beautiful area with meadows where you can still find the silence, but also the Abbey with its own Trappist beer should definitely be visited.
Under the smoke of Valkenswaard lies nature reserve De Malpie. Thanks to the unprecedented beauty of this area, Valkenswaard was voted 'Walking municipality of the year' in 2016. De Malpie consists of a heathland area with beautiful fens, the river Dommel and a beautiful forest area.
