Kite House 126: Lovely chalet with sheltered garden & lounge

Welcome to Kite House 126. Enjoy a vacation that feels like “coming home.”

Kite House 126 is a project close to our hearts: We’ve renovated it with great attention to detail and furnished it just as we’d want it for our own getaway by the sea.

We greatly appreciate guests who enjoy this personal atmosphere as much as we do and treat our chalet with the same care as their own home. If a well-maintained environment, cleanliness, and respectful behavior are important to you, you’ll feel completely at home with us.

Your temporary home away from home:

Living & Dining Room:
Relax on the cozy sofa in front of the large flat-screen TV or enjoy our small library of German books and collection of games. The chalet has its own free Wi-Fi and a Bluetooth speaker.

Kitchen:
Fully equipped for home cooks—with a dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, Dolce Gusto machine, toaster, blender, and much more.

Bedroom:
A restful night’s sleep awaits you in the king-size box-spring bed (140x200cm). A second flat-screen TV and ample closet space are provided.

Children’s Room:
Ideal for little adventurers with a bunk bed including a climbing ladder (each 80x190 cm, upper bunk max. 60 kg).

Bathroom (New in 2024):
Freshly renovated with a spacious, walk-in shower (70x120 cm), large mirror cabinet, toilet, and hair dryer/curling iron.

Comfort:
Central heating in every room ensures cozy warmth even on cooler days. The hallway offers plenty of space for jackets and shoes.

Covered Lounge:
Four cozy armchairs and a gas fire pit in the pavilion invite you to enjoy atmospheric evenings.

Sunbathing & Grilling:
Adjustable lounge chairs, a sunbed, and a large gas grill are provided.

Stay Active:
A ping-pong table, soccer goal, and balls for young soccer players are right by the chalet.

Extras: An outdoor shower for a quick refresh, a clothesline, and a private parking spot right outside the door.

Mobility:
2 adult bicycles and 2 e-bikes (range approx. 20 km) are available for free use (use at your own risk; no guarantee of constant availability).

Location & Surroundings:
The chalet is located at the family-friendly Muralt Campground in Scharendijke. The campground also features a playground, a soccer field, and a laundry facility (washer/dryer for a fee).

Groceries:
A PLUS supermarket, a drugstore, and various restaurants (some with delivery service) are within walking distance.

Activities:
The sea is right nearby! Whether it’s kitesurfing, surfing, diving, sailing, or cycling—Zeeland has it all. Stroll through picturesque towns like Zierikzee or Middelburg and let yourself be enchanted.

Important information for your planning:

Tourist tax:
This is paid directly at the campground reception (approx. 2 € per person/day, depending on the season).

Check-in/Check-out:
Check-in is possible from Monday through Saturday; check-out is also possible on Sunday.

Starter Kit:
A starter kit (cleaning rags, dish soap, a roll of toilet paper, shower mat) is provided for you.

Linens:
Please bring your own towels and bedding (standard-size pillows/pillowcases, fitted sheets 140x200 and 80x200).

Rental Terms: We rent to guests 25 years of age or older. Pets are not allowed.
