NOT ski-in/ski-out, but quality accommodation
Apartment was very clean and with quality finishings. It is very spacious (we were 2 adults total). It is soundproof and cosy. This apartment is on the top floor in building 3, which is farthest away from the street and with the best view. Stayed in March, sun on balcony until sunset. Building is nee and convenient with great parking garage and ski depot with boot-dryers. Large spacious bathroom. Great view from apartment. Friendly and helpful staff.
- We enjoyed our stay very much, but most importantly: this hotel is certainly NOT ski-out (or ski-in). Even with enough snow there is no way you can ski to a ski lift from here. You have to walk up-hill on a steep little path with the last part very steep around the oberdamuls lift to enter it. Not far, but steep and inconvenient, you’ll be sweating. Returning is the same thing, you’d walk that path back and cross the busy road to the hotel. Ski-in: im guessing with enough snow you can reach the road on skis, not via a ski-run though, take them off, cross the road, walk around the building and down to the driveway that leads to the garage and ski depot. Not when we were there in March though.
- no oven in the kitchen, just a microwave unfortunately (they advised us they’ll install an oven for next season).
- not a big deal but note: main bedroom has no black-out curtains, just window blinds that let through all the light because they are white soft fabric.
