Hidden villa with pool and sea views, located in a green area.

A great view, a green garden, a heated swimming pool and a great base to discover the Algarve. A wonderful place to read a book in the shade and enjoy the peace and quiet.

The holiday villa is secluded and offers breathtaking views of the rolling hills of the Algarve with the sea in the distance. Beautiful sunrises turn the sky red and in the evening you can see the coast and the lights of Faro. From the terrace you have a view of the orchards with oranges and olives. The beautifully landscaped garden is a delight for plant lovers. In addition to tropical palm trees, bouganvillea, many colorful flowers and various terraces, agapanthus is also often found. A heated swimming pool with an outdoor shower ensures that you can take a refreshing swim even in spring and autumn. For sun worshipers there are sun loungers by the pool.
In addition to the covered terrace, the garden also has several shady areas. An outdoor charcoal grill and various fresh herbs are available for use.
Shops and restaurants can be found just 3 km away in picturesque Estoi. In the fishing village of Olhao there is a daily market for fresh fish and vegetables. The most beautiful shells and the largest seahorse colony are in the Ria Formosa National Park, a 15-minute drive away.
Due to its central location in the Algarve, most attractions can be reached within an hour's drive. A car is recommended. These can be rented from various companies at Faro Airport.
A perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy nature, but also a great base to discover the beauty and all the sights of the Algarve in Portugal.

Guest access
Most of the villa and the garden are available to guests, only some cupboards are locked and the wooden annex is closed. It will not be occupied during your stay. 2/3 of the freezer is available to you. The private area attached to the villa is not occupied during your presence.

Other things to pay attention to
The garden and swimming pool are cleaned and maintained. If any problems occur, please report this to the help desk as soon as possible. As everywhere in Portugal, dogs can bark.

The property and garden area was fantastic and highly recommend. However - there was no oven, which we only noticed after buying some oven pizzas due to last minute plans chasing. It would also have been helpful to have to visitor notes with nearest supermarket and restaurant, with recommended local eateries. This was very much trial and error on our behalf in the end and so would have made the stay more convenient. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay.

A great family holiday

We had a lovely relaxed holiday at this beautiful villa, thank you. The pool is lovely, a perfect temperature and with such a beautiful outlook down towards the Ria Formosa. We found the location really easy for visiting the main attractions in the area, the beaches are beautiful. The villa is clean and for the most part well appointed with everything you need. We found the lack of an oven a slight challenge for cooking, so ended up purchasing an air fryer which did the job. We had a couple of minor issues whilst we were there which were dealt with very efficiently. Thank you.

Maison très agréable et très calme. Du coup un peu loin de Faro, environ 20 mn comme l'aeroport. Nous avons rencontré un problème avec la piscine et la pompe...la réponse a été rapide ainsi que la réparation. Je conseille cette location sans problème

Ein Traum von einem Urlaub

Der Aufenthalt war von Anfang bis Ende einfach ein Traum. Die Villa ist schön und typisch Portugiesisch, der Durchgang vom Wohnzimmer zum Ausenbereich inklusive Pool und Garten ist nicht zu beschreiben. Sensationell!Man hat hier wirklich seine Ruhe und kann einen völlig entspannten erholsamen Urlaub verbringen.Der Helpdesk steht dir zu jederzeit zur Verfügung und kommt bei Problemen auch sofort vorbei, Top Service :)Der Check in war komplett problemlos , am Flughafen angekommen war das ein Anruf und die Dame kam zur Villa, 1A.Der letzte Weg zur Villa ist für deutsche Verhältnisse etwas anderes , man hat das Gefühl man fährt auf einem Feldweg :) das kommt aber nur bei ersten Mal so rüber.. alles in allem war das ein Traum von Urlaub in dieser Unterkunft , wir würden definitiv wieder hier einchecken ! Danke nochmal und Grüße aus Deutschland :)

Das Haus und vor allem der Garten sind wunderschön. Wir haben uns vom 1. Augenblick an sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir können das Haus zu 100% empfehlen. Ein Auto ist unbedingt erforderlich.

Maison très agréable, très bien entretenue. Jardin magnifique avec une vue superbe. Piscine très appréciable avec la chaleur que nous avons eu ! Vacances très reposantes avec tout le confort. Seul bémol maison pas isolée commme beaucoup au Portugal donc la clim est indispensable et elle n’est présente que dans les chambres donc pas suffisante ... Autre point négatif les chiens errants qui aboient sans cesse la nuit gros problème dans les campagnes portugaises mais là les propriétaires n’y peuvent rien alors boules quies oblige !!!

A real home-from-home

We visited Villa Violetta for a couple of weeks of sunshine at the beginning of July, and had a wonderful, relaxing time. We found it easily, even in the dark thanks to the detailed directions, and were very surprised to be warmly greeted Andy and Dawn when we arrived, even although it was nearly midnight. They embody the word ‘care-taker’ because that’s exactly what they do- they take care of you and the villa for the duration of your stay. They showed us around the villa, which is well equipped with everything you might wish for while you are there. They also left us a very generous ‘welcome pack’- not the standard bread and milk, but wine, beer, soft drinks, fruit, bread and cheese, crisps and crackers, which was really incredibly thoughtful (and generous!) of them. I cannot commend Andy and Dawn highly enough for taking such good care of us- nothing was too much trouble for them. The villa was lovely, with comfortable beds. The air con in the bedrooms was very welcome, as it was about 38 degrees when we were there! The pool was lovely and roomy for the boys to play on inflatables, and also a nice size if you actually like to swim. I especially loved the garden, which has been very carefully tended, and is a beautiful place to meditate (if that’s your thing 😊. ) There's also a lovely pergola under which you can eat outdoors, and a barbecue by the pool. (I think theses were built after the photos were taken.) There is no ‘maid service’ during your stay (although Andy and Dawn regularly replace sheets and towels), and we really liked it that way. We had stayed in villas previously where daily maid service was included, and we found it quite invasive when we were used to peace-and-quiet and our own space. The cleaner would tend to drive us out of the house, which defeated the purpose of a lovely villa! Not so here- it’s all yours for the duration of your stay. It’s the perfect location if you like peace and quiet, but want to be able to access the beautiful beaches nearby- Faro, Barril, and Tavira are all within 20-30 mins drive, and you’re only 15 minutes from Sao Bras, where there are a number of good-sized supermarkets, including a Lidl. We barbecued at night, or tended to eat-out at the beach so I can’t comment on any of the restaurants nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and will definitely be back! Een verborgen paradijsje.

We hebben 2 weken genoten van de rust, de bloemrijke tuin, het geweldige uitzicht en het verfrissende zwembad van deze villa. Alle drie de slaapkamers hebben airco. De keuken is voorzien van diverse keukenapparatuur, maar we hebben vooral genoten van de buitenbarbecue en het buitenleven. Vanuit de villa is het makkelijk om verschillende uitstapjes te ondernemen, maar we hebben vooral genoten van de privacy en rust van het terrein. Al met al een heerlijke relaxte vakantie gehad.
