The vacation rental is located on the grounds of the former threshing floor—your host family’s home is an old Gulfhof farmstead that was originally used for agricultural purposes.
Barstede is a small, historic farming village in the Aurich district. In the center of the village stands the church with its historic bell tower dating back to the 13th century. The beautiful city of Aurich and the port city of Emden are not far away, and the North Sea coast is only about a 35-minute drive away; and the Riepe exit on the A31 highway is also nearby, making Barstede a great starting point for all kinds of excursions—whether it’s a day trip to the stunning East Frisian Islands or a bike ride on one of the many designated trails.
