In nearby Kröpelin, you’ll find nice restaurants and cafés, an Ostrock museum, and a submersible mill (the landmark of Kröpelin). The beach at Kühlungsborn is only 10 km away, the spa town of Bad Doberan is just 9 km away, and the Hanseatic city of Rostock is only 26 km away. For families with children, “Karl’s Erdbeerhof” on the B 105 in Mönchhagen is highly recommended.
