Our home is situated in a very quiet location on the outskirts of Flanitz/Frauenau, between the towns of Zwiesel and Frauenau, on a spacious property in a stunning, secluded setting. By forest railway or your own car, you can quickly reach other towns, such as Zwiesel, Frauenau, Bodenmais, or the Arber region. There are plenty of shopping options and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. From our family-friendly vacation apartments, you’ll enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the mountains and the valley. On some evenings, deer even come right up to the house. On warm days, you can enjoy your own balcony, terrace, or spacious outdoor area. You can either relax in the private area of your apartment with your own patio furniture or head out to the spacious garden to the communal barbecue area and celebrate with other guests. The cozy, bright, and spacious apartments are equipped with a TV and radio. Each bedroom has its own shower and toilet. The fully equipped kitchens offer additional amenities, such as a dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, egg cooker, and toaster. Bed linens and towels are provided. In the basement, you’ll find facilities for washing and drying your laundry. After some physical activity—or simply to unwind—you can relax and unwind in the on-site sauna. Or push yourself to the limit in the on-site table tennis room… Whether you’re an active vacationer or someone seeking relaxation, you’ll enjoy a pleasant and restful vacation; you’ll feel right at home and enjoy yourself to the fullest. In winter, the kids can go sledding to their hearts’ content right below the house, and cross-country skiers can hit a groomed trail on the outskirts of town. Hiking enthusiasts, in particular, will find plenty to enjoy here. Whether it’s moderate mountain hikes, leisurely walks along rivers and streams, or challenging trails for experienced hikers—the Bavarian Forest has something for everyone. From mid-December through the end of March, both alpine skiers and beginners can hit the well-groomed slopes at the well-known and nearby Arber winter sports center (1,456 m). The beautiful and well-groomed cross-country trails in the Zwieseler Winkel are also very popular. Take advantage of the wide range of recreational activities in the surrounding area. An outdoor pool in Frauenau, the attractive indoor pool with a sauna area in Zwiesel, water parks in Lam and Dingolfing, the national park in Grafenau, and the silver mine with a toboggan run in Bodenmais—to name just a few—ensure there’s never a dull moment, no matter the weather. The glassworks tours in Frauenau, Zwiesel, and the surrounding area are particularly interesting. During special glassworks evenings, master glassmakers demonstrate how glass is made right at the “furnace.” The 18-hole Oberzwieselau Golf Park—just a five-minute drive from the guesthouse—is a paradise for nature-loving athletes. The newly renovated 77-square-meter vacation apartment accommodates 4 people (2 bedrooms with double beds and a large kitchen-living room). With the wonderful view of the mountain range, you can truly unwind from everyday life. A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking; the balance is to be paid in cash upon arrival. Check-in is from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM; check-out is by 9:00 AM. Keys are handed over in person upon arrival. The tourist tax of 1.90 EUR per person per night (children ages 6–16: 1.25 EUR) is charged separately on site. Pets are allowed for an additional fee of 5 EUR per day.
