12 kilometers away from here you will reach the island capital of Borgholm where you should visit at least once in the evening one of the cosy dockland pubs.

8 kilometers away from Ytterby you will find the beach of Köpingsvik which belongs to the most beautiful sandy beaches of Öland and which is particularly suited for families with children because of the shallow waters which really fall away slowly and parents need not permanently be in „high tension“.
