Our apartment, newly built in 2016, is located on the first floor of an 8-unit building and offers 80 m² of living space. The building is idyllically situated in a very quiet residential neighborhood at the foot of the Grünstein. It has an elevator. A parking space is available for your car in the building’s underground garage (entry height: 2m).
After an eventful day in the mountains, our apartment offers many amenities for you to relax. We look forward to welcoming you to our vacation apartment and offering you an unforgettable stay in the Berchtesgadener Land region.

The apartment features a spacious, open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area, 2 bedrooms (1 with a double bed and 1 with 2 single beds), and 2 bathrooms (one with a shower and bathtub, and one with a shower). Modern TVs are available in the living room and in one of the bedrooms. The apartment’s high-quality furnishings invite you to relax. All rooms have underfloor heating that can be individually controlled; in the living areas, you can enjoy the comfort of real wood floors. You can access the terrace from both the living area and both bedrooms. The 25-square-meter, furnished, sunny, and sheltered wooden terrace also features a barbecue area. In the small, flower-filled garden with an ornamental fountain, you can enjoy the view of the Jenner and let your mind wander. Children are very welcome here!
Just a 20-minute walk away lies the picturesque Königssee, surrounded by the breathtaking mountain scenery of the Watzmann range. Explore the fascinating landscape along numerous hiking trails dotted with rustic huts that invite you to stop for a break. Or take a boat ride across the emerald-green Königssee. You can take the gondola up to the summit of the Jenner to admire the magnificent nature reserve from above or go on a high-altitude hike. The nearby cultural city of Salzburg is just a half-hour drive away.
Helmut and Christa Gabel love life in Schönau am Königssee and appreciate the natural beauty, rich culture, vibrant traditions, and numerous sports and recreational opportunities this region has to offer. They are happy to assist their guests with advice and support, whether it’s answering questions or providing recommendations for activities around Königssee and the surrounding mountains. They personally welcome their guests upon arrival and hand over the apartment keys. Opportunity for Psychotherapy Sessions During their stay, guests have the opportunity to schedule appointments at Christa Gabel’s practice for psychotherapy and systemic counseling. The practice is located next to the vacation apartment. These sessions offer a valuable opportunity to consciously set aside time for yourself during your vacation and receive support in addressing stressful issues, such as conflicts in the family or at work, everyday stress, or even burnout.
