“Green Eilun” – that’s what we call our island. It means “the green island” and with its endless green meadows, grazing foals and calves on wide marshes there is no other name for Föhr! Located behind Sylt and Amrum, the climate on Föhr is much milder than on the other North Sea islands. When there is storm and rain on Sylt or Amrum, it’s not uncommon to feel and see nothing of “their” weather on Föhr. Föhr has got its own climate, always milder and always a bit more sun than in the rest of the Northern Sea.

The thatched-Captain’s house (about 110 m²) offers enough space for a maximum of 6 people. It is located in the old island-village Oevenum and is situated in a quiet side road. Surrounded by 800 m² of gardens, it offers its guests (children and dogs are welcome) a high level of comfort. The “Marsh” (wet land) is about 400 meters away. With a bicycle its about 15 minutes (4 km) to Wyk and the beach. Shops, restaurants and cafes are available within short walking distance.

This detached house has a large living room with a children’s play area (furniture in country-style), open kitchen, dining room, two bathrooms (one shower and one bath), two bedrooms with double beds, on bedroom with two single beds. Further there is satellite TV, stereo with CD player, telephone, dishwasher, iron, ironing board, cot for babies and party games. In the garage there are a washing machine and a dryer.
