Our house, built in 1934, was completely renovated in 2024. During the renovation, many of the house’s original features—such as the solid-wood doors—were restored and reused. Using plenty of reclaimed wood and small, thoughtful details, we’ve created a unique living environment that evokes the atmosphere of an alpine hut in many ways. However, you won’t have to sacrifice any of the comforts you’re used to.
A fire pit in the garden and a sauna cabin offer the perfect setting for cozy get-togethers or relaxation.
We chose the name “Keramik-Alm” because the building was used as a ceramics café until 2024.
The vacation home is also partially accessible for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. You’ll find more detailed information in the vacation home description.
Our vacation home features 3 rustic-style bedrooms, a traditional bathroom, a separate toilet, and a kitchen with an adjoining sunroom. The furnishings and amenities are modeled after an alpine hut. The kitchen counter can be used as a bar, and bar stools are provided. The sunroom and the bedrooms are equipped with flat-screen TVs (smart TVs) with satellite connections. The free Wi-Fi can be easily turned off with a switch (e.g., for a good night’s sleep).
Note for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility: Access to the vacation home is barrier-free (ramp), as is the first floor, which includes the living and kitchen areas, one bedroom with direct access to the bathroom, a wheelchair-accessible shower, and a toilet with grab bars. The first floor is suitable for wheelchairs up to 70 cm wide. The first floor is not certified as barrier-free.
Many beautiful hiking trails begin right nearby. Numerous mountain huts are also within easy reach. Those who enjoy mountain biking will find a variety of rideable trails in the area.
The bike path toward Chiemsee begins right in front of the house.
The numerous surrounding lakes are perfect for swimming and bathing. For fans of outdoor swimming pools, there are two within easy reach.
In winter, skiers and cross-country skiers will find plenty to enjoy.
Our vacation home is also suitable for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility.
Hello, we’re Regina and Bernhard Bauer. We’ve been married for over 30 years, have two adult children, and two grandchildren. We’ve done quite a bit professionally. After the last 17 successful years running our ceramics café, we wanted to make another change. That’s how the idea for this vacation home came about.
