Newly renovated and tastefully furnished one-room vacation apartment designed for comfort, featuring a kitchenette and dining area on the first floor with a terrace and access to the lawn.

Situated in a very quiet location in the Schöntal district, right next to the forest and 100 meters from the Schöntal swimming pond. Schöntal has no through traffic; the speed limit is generally 30 km/h.

An ideal starting point for extended hiking and trekking tours through the unspoiled German-French Pfälzerwald/Northern Vosges Biosphere Reserve, or excursions to the countless castle ruins and bizarre rock formations in the immediate vicinity; relax at one of Ludwigswinkel’s many swimming ponds, great mountain bike tours (direct access to signposted trails right from the house), as well as leisurely road cycling without significant inclines through the Sauerbach Valley all the way to Wissembourg in Alsace; visit the Biosphere House in the neighboring village, featuring a treetop trail, barefoot park, mini-golf, and truly excellent dining.

We provide our guests with one women’s and one men’s bike free of charge (bike trailers for dogs are also available free of charge), help and advise you on planning tours, and also offer guided (for a fee) hiking, trekking, cycling, and mountain biking tours customized just for you. (24-inch e-mountain bike available, a 27.5-inch e-mountain bike, and a touring e-bike with a low step-through frame—available for a fee)

Bread roll service (Mon–Sat) and initial grocery shopping available (free of charge upon reimbursement of purchase costs)

Ludwigswinkel, a climatic health resort, is the perfect vacation destination for guests seeking relaxation, variety, nature, sports, and tranquility. Here, if you wish, you can get by without a car for your entire vacation; even in winter, there are great excursions to enjoy.

Supermarket, bakery, butcher shop, and gas station in the neighboring town 3 km away—hair salons and a corner store in Ludwigswinkel. A wide variety of high-quality dining options in Ludwigswinkel and the nearby surrounding communities.


Dogs are welcome up to 40 cm / 21 kg—surcharge of EUR 2.50 per day.
