Welcome to our mountain cabin on a ridge, approximately 1,050 meters above sea level, not far from Mount Spåtind, with panoramic views toward Jotunheimen.
As soon as you open the cabin door, you’ll find kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails and bike paths, as well as plenty of hiking and fishing opportunities in the vicinity of Langsua National Park, with its rich variety of flora and fauna. With a little luck, you might even spot the Northern Lights! The area is usually guaranteed to have snow throughout the winter, and nature reserves ensure that the beautiful landscape and natural environment remain unspoiled. In the spring and summer, large herds of reindeer are herded right past the cabin. The beautiful and varied natural landscape features birch forests, open plains, and mountain peaks, as well as many lakes for fishing or canoeing. The terrain is easy and well-suited for mountain hikes with children. In winter, you can use the groomed cross-country ski trail network right outside the door, which provides access to more than 300 km of trails—it’s ski-in, ski-out here. For alpine skiers, the Valdres Ski Center, for example, is just a short drive away. Sledding, skiing, or ice fishing—there are plenty of opportunities to stay active.
Explore the diverse culture on day trips or enjoy an excursion to Norway’s great mountain ranges, Rondane or Jotunheimen, which you can see from the terrace on clear days. Of course, you can also simply escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, enjoy the tranquility, peace, and beautiful views, and relax.
Our cozy vacation home has three bedrooms, each with a double bed and two bunk beds. 90/140 and 90/160. From the open living room with a wood-burning stove, you’ll enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding fells and mountain landscape. The open kitchen is functional and fully equipped. After a hike or a day in the snow, you can look forward to the sauna. Light the wood-burning stove and lose yourself in your vacation reading, or perhaps make plans for the next day. In the summer, you can enjoy the outdoor terrace.
