Barn - Holiday home Zur alten Linde

The converted barn, measuring 120 square meters, features 2 bedrooms, each with a 1.80-meter box-spring bed; a large living-dining area with a kitchen; a guest restroom; and a spacious bathroom with a shower.
The highlight of the house is the lounge, which features two cozy wingback chairs with footrests; the flickering wood-burning stove makes it the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine or an exciting book.
The garden, accessible via a wooden walkway, features a large, partially covered terrace with a beautiful view.

The charm of this old, cozy farmhouse—with its exposed fieldstone walls and historic beams—invites you to slow down and enjoy your vacation, as does the adjacent barn, which has been renovated with great attention to detail.
In the adjoining garden, with its enchanting distant views, a garden house featuring a covered outdoor lounge and a sun deck awaits our guests.
Things to know about the surrounding area:
The small, idyllic village of Schmißberg is located about 3 km northeast of the county seat of Birkenfeld, where you’ll find numerous shopping options and restaurants. The hiking trail “In the Land of the Kite, Stork, and Co.” begins in Schmißberg. Many scenic loop trails are also easily accessible by car from here in about 10–20 minutes.



On-site costs: Prices include utilities (heating, water, electricity, Wi-Fi), bed linens, towels, firewood, and final cleaning! (The house must be left swept clean, and trash must be disposed of in the designated trash cans and bags. The landlord will inspect the property on the day of departure.) The security deposit is 100 euros and must be paid along with the down payment. A down payment of 20% of the total price is due upon signing the contract. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival. Keys will be provided via a key box. You will receive the code for the key box well in advance of your arrival. A baby crib can be provided free of charge upon request. Pets are allowed at no additional charge.



Check-in is from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., and check-out is from 12:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
