Peace and tranquility on Nordstrand. Welcome to “Neukoog Deichzeit”! This lovingly renovated Frisian cottage with a thatched roof, dating back to 1850, offers the perfect setting for a relaxing North Sea vacation. With room for up to six people, it combines historic charm with modern comforts.
Location:
The “Neukoog Deichzeit” half of the vacation home is located on the picturesque Nordstrand peninsula, surrounded by the unique landscape of North Frisia. Here you’ll find peace and tranquility—ideal for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation. Its proximity to the North Sea allows you to explore the Wadden Sea, an UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. Numerous biking and hiking trails invite you to explore the Frisian marshlands. A classic Frisian earthen wall forms a harmonious boundary along the street side. The house is sheltered behind trees and shrubs, creating an idyllic and peaceful atmosphere. For your daily needs, a supermarket and a bakery are about 1.5 km away. Restaurants are about 4 km away and offer regional specialties.
Amenities:
The first floor welcomes you with a cozy living room, furnished with a leather seating set consisting of an armchair, an ottoman, and a three-seater sofa. Here you can spend relaxing evenings. The living room opens directly onto the garden terrace.
The modern, fully equipped kitchen offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. Amenities include a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, microwave, oven, coffee maker, toaster, and a radio. A breakfast table that seats up to four people invites you to start your day in a relaxed way.
The bathroom was completely renovated in 2020 and offers modern amenities. Equipped with a walk-in rain shower, a sink with ample counter space, a lighted mirror, a washing machine, a heated towel rack, and a toilet, it leaves nothing to be desired.
The bedroom on the first floor is accessible directly from the living area. It is furnished with a cozy double bed (180 x 200 cm), two nightstands, a dresser, and a spacious closet. A crib is available for younger guests. Due to the age of the house—over 250 years old—taller guests should be careful when passing under the ceiling beams to avoid bumping their heads. This historic charm gives the room a very special atmosphere.
A staircase leads to the house’s two other bedrooms. The first bedroom features a large, sturdy pine bed from Finland (180 × 200 cm), complemented by two nightstands. The low-set windows offer a direct view of nature and invite you to enjoy the sunset. There is also a small children’s room on the upper floor, furnished with a bunk bed (90 × 190 cm). A table with two chairs provides space for crafts and play.
Special features:
The spacious terrace in front of the house invites you to relax with a beach chair, patio furniture, and a comfortable lounger. The adjacent lawn offers plenty of space for activities such as ball games, barbecues, or simply relaxing. Pets are welcome. You’ll also have access to a parking space right next to the house, Wi-Fi (fiber optic), and a covered area for bicycles.
Kids won’t be left out either: A swing set and a sandbox have been placed so that you can always keep an eye on your little ones without disturbing your neighbors.
