A vacation on the cozy Stern houseboat “Hecht,” located right on the waterfront of the Schlei, a Baltic Sea fjord, in the Wikinghafen marina in Schleswig, means relaxation and rejuvenation, freedom, or adventure—whether you’re traveling with friends, family, or as a couple.

This spacious, moored houseboat offers you all the comforts of a modern, high-quality vacation apartment with a generous sun deck and rooftop terrace. In the cozy, light-filled living room with an open kitchen, you can relax on the couch or gather around the spacious table for a delicious meal or a game night.

The well-equipped kitchen, featuring all essential appliances, a gas stovetop, and a microwave, leaves nothing to be desired, allowing you to quickly refocus on the essentials of your vacation. Inside the houseboat, in addition to the living area, you’ll find two cozy bedrooms, as well as a modern shower room and a separate toilet. The first bedroom features a 140-cm-wide double bed, while the second has a 140-cm-wide bunk bed with an additional sleeping space on top. You’ll find plenty of storage space in the closets in each room.

From the spacious upper deck, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Schleswig and the Schlei, a Baltic Sea fjord, along with the Möweninsel nature reserve. Make yourself comfortable on the sun loungers and relax while taking in the view of the water. Downstairs, a covered terrace with a table and chairs offers a magnificent view of the Schlei and Schleswig. Here, you can enjoy breakfast at sunrise and get the day off to a great start. In the evening, enjoy an exclusive front-row seat to the maritime atmosphere with a sundowner.

Only products of natural origin that are 100% biodegradable are used to clean the Stern houseboats. This also applies to everything you’ll find on board: toilet paper, paper towels, soap, dish soap, shampoo, and shower gel!

Please note that the use of bed linens is mandatory. You can either bring your own or add them to your booking during the reservation process.

At the Wendtorf, Barth, and Schleswig locations, additional fees in the form of a visitor’s tax, tourism fee, or lodging tax apply. These costs are not included in the price and will be billed separately afterward.
