Quinta Rústica - Peace, Nature & Workation

Welcome to the "Quinta Rústica"
The Quinta Rústica is a cozy traditional country house in nature! Whether for vacation or workation - our second home is our favorite place for it. Enjoy lovingly furnished rooms in our oasis of peace and a beautiful outdoor area with a large wooden veranda and a mini pool to cool off in during summer times (size 1,5m x 1,5m x 0,8m). If you are looking for a quiet place to work, this is the right place for you: 2 well-equipped workstations and high-speed internet are waiting for you!


Our "Quinta Rústica"
Escape the stress of everyday life to our charming "Quinta Rústica", a cozy, rebuilt traditional country house. Whether you are looking for a relaxing holiday or a quiet workspace to develop new ideas, our home is the perfect retreat.


Our dream came true
After 1.5 years of searching, we found our dream home, the "Quinta Rústica", in July 2024. As big Portugal fans, we love the country, its people and the pleasant climate all year round. Our Quinta has become our second home and we love both vacationing here and working from here. In the summer, we put a lot of love into the renovation. We hope you will love our Quinta Rústica as much as we do! We look forward to your feedback! :-)


Retreats: Bedrooms "Azul" and "Amarelo"
The Quinta has two bedrooms: "Azul" (with private bathroom) and "Amarelo" (with workspace). There is a second bathroom. There is also a converted attic with a sofa bed and a second workspace. The attic is only accessible via an open staircase in the second bedroom "Amarelo". There is a curtain as a privacy screen, which allows for more privacy (see pictures). If you know each other well, up to 6 people can stay in the Quinta. However, we recommend full occupancy only for short trips and not for longer stays, as the attic is not soundproofed from the rooms below. High-quality cotton bed linen and towels are always included in the booking.


Spacious living area & Ibiza-style kitchen
The living room is very large and very cozy and open thanks to the high ceilings. It is equipped with a TV (with pre-installed apps for Netflix, Prime and other streaming providers), fireplace and dining area. The wide French doors lead to the wooden veranda with a great view of the garden. The kitchen has everything you need for a cozy breakfast or barbecue. From here you have a nice view of the barbecue area and the mini pool.


Outdoor area
There is a beautiful wooden veranda that invites you to relax and enjoy great barbecue evenings. You can unwind in the lounge chairs. If you are looking for a little cooling off in the summer, you will find it in our mini pool (1.5m x 1.5m x 0.8m) - a small converted cistern and Franzi's pride and joy. Mini Pool and outdoor shower are available from June to September. If you want to go on a discovery tour, you can climb the hill behind our house and listen to the turtles and frogs at the house's own lake.


Working from the Wellness Oasis
The Quinta has two workstations with high speed internet (satellite reception), making it ideal for a workation. A monitor is also available at one workstation.


Location: Pure nature & 35 minutes from the sea
Faro Airport: about 45 minutes by car
Lisbon: about 2.5 hours by car
Beaches: in about 35 minutes you are at all the great beaches around Albufeira
Shopping: the nearest shops are in São Bartolomeu de Messines, 15 minutes away - a small, authentic place with local charm and very friendly people. Here you will find 2 large supermarkets (Continente, Intermarché), a market hall (open daily with fresh fruit, vegetables and fish), doctors, a post office and restaurants.
Access: The last 3 km of the drive to the Quinta are on a wide gravel road. A normal car is perfectly adequate. An off-road vehicle or SUV is certainly more comfortable, but not necessary.


Feel at home and enjoy your stay!
You have access to all areas in and around the house that are not additionally locked or marked. The property is fenced. Outside the fenced area you will find a small lake above the house that also belongs to us. In summer you can hear the croaking of frogs and watch turtles here. Feel at home. If you have small children with you, please note that although the property is fenced, there is a wall behind the house. Make sure that children do not go behind this area, as there is a risk that they could fall off the wall and injure themselves. Children should also not go to the lake unsupervised. We want our youngest guests to have a good time with us too.


Pets
Pets (max. 2) are welcome, but they are not allowed on the upholstered furniture (couch, bed, armchair). Please do not forget to add the pet fee in the booking process.


Winter bookings
Our Quinta Rústica has, as is often the case in Portugal, no central heating. The two bedrooms, the living room and the kitchen can be heated with modern air conditioning units if required. The living room also has a fireplace. Wood for the fireplace must be purchased separately.

It is important to us that you can enjoy our second home as much as we do. This also means that you can contact us at any time.


Security
There are 2 security cameras installed outside the house. One is directed towards the driveway and the other towards the back of the house. Both cameras are for security purposes only when the house is not occupied and are deactivated when guests check in so that you can enjoy complete privacy during your stay.
