Unwind in our cozy vacation home in Gruissan Les Ayguades, in southern France, on the Mediterranean coast. This charming vacation home offers 45 square meters of space for up to 4 guests. It features 2 bedrooms and 1 small bathroom on the upper floor, as well as a combined living-dining room with a kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower on the first floor. The staircase to the upper floor is steep and, unfortunately, not suitable for people with mobility issues.
In June 2026, the vacation home was fitted with a brand-new kitchen featuring a 4-burner glass-ceramic cooktop, an oven, a fridge-freezer combo, and a dishwasher. Here you’ll find a kettle and a coffee maker for your morning coffee, as well as all the necessary utensils to whip up delicious Mediterranean meals. The living room is cozily furnished and invites you to relax with a comfortable sofa and a TV.
You can also enjoy your meals outside on the main terrace, which features a table, 4 garden chairs, and a manually operated awning. Or soak up the sun on the two lounge chairs on the second terrace next to the house, behind the small strip of garden. The rental price includes use of the shared pool (open approx. June 15–September 30), and a parking space is also reserved for you.
Smoking is not permitted inside the house, but it is, of course, allowed on the terraces or under the awning.
The area around Gruissan offers numerous attractions, such as Cathar castles, Roman-era archaeological sites, idyllic canals, and natural coastal landscapes with impressive wildlife (e.g., flamingos). Water sports enthusiasts will find a water ski lift right in Les Ayguades, as well as spots for kitesurfing, windsurfing, and wing foiling in the surrounding area.
Whether you want to spend relaxing days at the beach, explore the local culture, or burn off some energy on the water—there’s something for everyone here.
Gruissan is a beautiful old fishing village with castle ruins, a marina, shops, two supermarkets, restaurants, and more. The hamlet of Les Ayguades is located directly on the Mediterranean Sea with a vast sandy beach (open to the public; designated areas for dogs, nudists, and kitesurfers/windsurfers).
In the hamlet of Les Ayguades, there are several bakeries, restaurants, a bike rental shop, a small grocery store, and a shop selling ice cream and beach supplies, all within walking distance. The beach lagoon runs through the hamlet, with a wakeboarding facility and water ski lift at its end. Inland from Les Ayguades lies La Clape, a small mountain range with cliffs, vineyards, and hiking trails (also suitable for bike tours and mountain biking).
The nearest major city is Narbonne—just under 20 minutes by car inland. The famous medieval fortified city of Carcassonne is just under an hour’s drive from the vacation home.
