Welcome to the “Tönning – Bei die Fische” vacation rental. Here you can enjoy a relaxing North Sea vacation—with everything that goes with it:
Beach life and mudflat hiking, shucking crabs, playing with the kids by the sea or in the garden, biking, or exploring the historic harbor town of Tönning.
“Bei die Fische” didn’t get its name for no reason: Numerous fishing and crabboats were built in the Tönning shipyards. And many North Sea fishermen docked at the important port of Tönning until the Eider River barrier was built and the port was relocated there—though it’s still within Tönning’s city limits.

This stylish yet casual 3-room apartment is located on the mezzanine level of a historic, listed building. It offers 53 bright square meters with North Sea beach charm, perfect for a family or two couples (four beds).
A spacious, brand-new kitchen with all the amenities, a full bathroom with a rain shower, ultra-comfortable large luxury beds in the master bedroom, original hardwood floors, high ceilings with stucco, and central heating all contribute to a true vacation atmosphere.

An apartment where you can feel at home and relax in a picturesque old fishing village near the North Sea, with a large playground behind the house for the children.

Tönning is a little over an hour’s drive (approx. 125 kilometers) north of Hamburg, right between Heide and Husum, situated on the popular Eiderstedt Peninsula and easily accessible via the A23 and the connecting B5. From the old harbor town of Tönning on the Eider River, it’s just over 20 minutes to the popular town of St. Peter-Ording, home to Germany’s longest and most beautiful sandy beach. Also nearby: the famous Eider Barrier, the Katinger Watt Nature Reserve (both 10 min.), the Dutch-style town of Friedrichsstadt (15 min.), and the well-known resort town of Büsum (25 min.).

The apartment is located just two blocks from the market square, which features a bakery, pharmacy, restaurants, the castle park, the tourist information office, and St. Laurentius Church; it’s less than a 10-minute walk to the picturesque harbor, 10 minutes to the swimming area on the Eider River, 5 minutes to the train station, and a 15-minute walk to the Multimar Wattzentrum. The nearest supermarket is a 3-minute walk away.

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.

Check-in is possible from 4:00 to 12:00 a.m., and check-out is from 12:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
