As the headline says: From this modern apartment, you can look out onto the garden, with cherry blossoms in the spring and roses in the summer, but the Trave River and its promenade are just 25 meters away around the corner.
The “Gartenblick” apartment is located on the first floor of our historic building (the staircase is relatively steep, which may be a challenge for people with mobility issues) and has a living area of 40 m². It was modernized in 2023.
Upon entering the apartment, turn left; the entrance to the bathroom—with a shower, toilet, and sink—is on your right, and a small open-concept kitchen is on your left.
The hallway opens into the first room, which features a dining table, sofa, and cabinets; a wide passageway connects this room to the second room, which has a large double bed (180 x 200 cm) and a cozy wingback chair with a reading lamp and a small side table. (See also the floor plan in the photos.
Behind the house—a real treat in this location—is a garden that guests are welcome to use; simple garden chairs and a table are available in the garden shed, which also has space for bicycles you bring along.
On the first floor of the house is an ice cream parlor that, in addition to serving this staple treat, also offers a delicious breakfast in case you don’t have the energy to make your own. You’ll find another source of energy in one of its most delightful forms three houses down at Café Niederegger, which always has fresh marzipan. A well-stocked Edeka supermarket is five houses down, with a bakery in between.
Parking: During the high season (Easter through October), “Vorderreihe” Street is a pedestrian zone. The garden borders Kurgartenstraße at the back, where paid short-term parking spaces are available. For longer parking, we recommend the “Leuchtenfeld” parking lot, about a 250-meter walk away; a 24-hour ticket there currently costs 12 €. Electric cars can park for free on Paul-Brümmer-Straße (about 250 m away).
Traveling by Train: You don’t necessarily need a car in Travemünde. It’s a 600-meter walk from the Lübeck-Travemünde Hafen train station to the house.
