Our guesthouse was Ilfeld’s first school and was built around 1800. It is located in a very central spot in the oldest part of Ilfeld. Just 50 meters away is a private butcher shop with a small grocery store attached. Our local baker delivers bread and rolls there. You can have breakfast or lunch at the butcher shop’s snack bar. We host barbecues every Friday throughout the year. The town features an ice cream parlor, butcher shop, bakery, newsstand, post office, beverage store, EDEKA supermarket, pharmacy, doctor’s office, Harzer Schmalspurbahn train station, bus stop, church, and a dialysis center for guests with kidney disease. Internet access via our in-house Wi-Fi hotspot is included in all apartments. The beautiful outdoor area, with its many flowers, lawn for sunbathing, and outdoor seating, invites you to rest, relax, or have a barbecue. Enjoy the view of the mountains and the charming half-timbered houses. Our apartments are lovingly furnished, and each is named after one of the surrounding mountains or rock formations. Every shower and kitchen has a large window. Depending on the season, our laundry is still dried outdoors in the breeze and sunshine.
